Quotelem motlow If they try to put too many songs on it they’ll blow it again,we’ll be lucky if they have 5 or 6 strong tracks. 3 of the big 4 only have 10 songs and each one has a cover.Exile has 18 songs with 2 covers. To think they could have 15 or more worthwhile songs right now is a dream.it’s 2023 not 1971. I have a dream - 18 new tunes - a new tune for each year that has passed since t

I'd say 1981 which were my first two Stones shows at the L.A. Coliseum when I was 18 which left an everlasting indelible mark on me. Followed by the Licks Tour of 2002/2003 when I saw multiple shows in clubs, theaters, arenas, and stadiums from Los Angeles, CA to Stockhom, Sweden, and many great destinations in between. As a bonus, I'd have to say the 50 and Counting Tour ranks up th

Quotemickschix Have the Stones over-thought this entire thing? As someone already said, no one outside of the U.K will get the Hackney reference so it's a very forgettable title, IMO. Maybe if we could look at all of the song titles it would make better sense..or not. I'm just thrilled there's new material about to be released so I guess the title doesn't matter all that much.

Quotegeorgie48 QuoteNICOS My only excitement is how will it sound after 18 years since there last original studio album................... Just great Based on the many years that have passed, it could potentially be 18 times better than their last original studio album from 18 years ago. And speaking of years, curious as to what date the oldest outtake they might have used is from, while

QuoteIGTBA A good list, given the restrictive criteria. I'd change some positions, but everybody else would too. While I'm a Stevie Nicks fan - her vocals are unique and special, I would have her ranked lower than 2nd, per the criteria. For one thing, Fleetwood Mac's best song (my opinion), Go Your Own Way, was written and sung by Lindsey Buckingham, as were several other of

QuoteIrix Quotejohn lomax I hope they keep the tour name “Hackney Diamonds Tour” because “Diamonds Tour sounds a bit Elton John Ok, then 'Hackney Diamonds Tour'. Or a completely new name. 'Hackney' alone would sound a bit like 'Hacker'. It's also reminiscent of Hockney, as in English artist David Hockney. Come to think of it, it might have been interes

QuoteMelBelli Nothing we don’t already know, but The Sun newspaper has picked up the story: Perhaps nothing we don't already know, but it will always be poignant to read about Charlie passing away two years ago, At the same time, it's always uplifting to read again that he will indeed be featured on the album, along with Bill Wyman! The hotly anticipated record is the firs

Sounds about right, and I think georgelicks also mentioned November as the goal, but maybe they've decided to do a "rush" release in October? QuoteMAF The Rolling Stones Tease New Album Potentially Called "Hackney Diamonds" Word travels fast! "The Rolling Stones last album of original songs was ‘A Bigger Bang’ 18 years ago in 2005". It's certainly been a very long time in the making, and I imagine the story about the new album will soon be spreading like wildfire!

QuoteBashlets It’s really generic isn’t it? Probably would have made a half way decent KISS or Bon Jovi song but The Rolling Stones no way I can imagine someone like Justin Timberlake doing a cover version to help give themselves some rock and roll cred. Or maybe a city slicker contemporary country artist such as Tim McGraw or Blake Shelton...yeehaw...ya'll got me rawkin' now...

Quotezeppo1 God, i hope thus isnt some silly ass pop up store. The confirmation email lists a street address . That would certainly be a major letdown after a day of excitement. If so, maybe it will be a discount outlet for the leftover/unsold merch from the overpriced Carnaby Street store. And maybe they'll give everyone who signed up a 10% discount code...

Quoterara Hackney Empire is a prominent music hall on Mare Street. In 2013, a Rolling Stones jukebox musical was scheduled to premier there before running into legal issues and stalling. The idea for a musical was revisited and workshopped in 2017. Given that the ad references past hits and also hints the same theatre location as their 'new store', I think this might be a Stones musical
