Quotecolonial Can anyone tell me the name of the font used for their setlist its one of my favourites and used it before but can't find it on the net..cheers i'm pretty sure the name of the font (at least the open-source version of it) is called "Eurostile" and it's printed in bold letters

Quotefahthree I went to Berlin and thought the shows I saw in 2013 were better. That being said, Berlin was still very good. it also depends if you only consider the quality of playing or if you factor in the fun they have onstage too. i do. it's something that really only comes across at the gig itself, not on youtube, no matter what with HD and everything. putting things into perspective,

QuoteThatsWhatISay I just returned home from the concert. Too exhausted to write a comprehensive review, but let me say this: F**KING AWESOME CONCERT! Probably the best or second best of my 15 Stones concert. And that comes from a guy who is very critical when it comes to the Stones performing live. The sound was loud and clear, very guitar driven. A thrill to listen to! My impression was that

B-Side of the second single. i can't really comment on the rareness of it, but when i found it it didn't only make my day, rather my whole month. love everything about it, Piano, Harmonica, Keefs Solo. the spoken words really cracked me up the first time. Bill Wyman shrugs it off as a "groovy Instrumental" even though his line is the most essential.

QuoteWild Slivovitz Yep. On some occasions in 2007 (Njmegen, Werchter, Helsinki) it really seemed he lost it for good. But you can never write him off, can't you? he definitely made me eat my words from last year on this year's tour. in 07 i saw Düsseldorf and Hamburg. he wasn't lost or anything, but he was in no way like this: i know i already posted that elsewhere, it

yeah, the german newspapers are always having fun using song titles as puns when it comes to the stones. the actual fun about it is, they really find their jokes to be very original and fresh. like some guy from VIVA (TVstation) at a press conference asking like "will sis be se last time?" and mick just proceeded to call him a "real stunner" and gave him a free shirt for "

QuoteDoomandGloom Keith has changed on these last 2 tours. He started out fearful. maybe that's the primal observation for understanding Keefs condition. he wasn't sure if he could pull it off like he used to and it took him some time to regain confidence. i mean, i didn't see 2012 (except PPV Newark) but at Hyde Park 1 i wasn't even sure if he had any fun. at times he looked

Now that Keith is showing a love for music in what may

QuoteLieB Just look at the typography and design of all Stones albums the last 25 years and you'll see that Mick okayed quite a few lame decisions (or non-decisions). A Bigger Bang has terribly lazy design. The front cover looks fine but the inside is something the average IORR member could have done in Microsoft Word. that's right, if ABB indeed proves to be their swansong, the design

if you understand bits of german, you see that we at least got our share of press coverage ;-D it's definitely a story to remember, though not at all a comparable memory to the Trabendo itself. i actually was all set for a club gig in Oslo, yet they didn't seem to need any more warm-up. on Fire! the fine wasn't as dreadful as it sounds, i'm just a poor student and most d

Quotefahthree Dean has an opinion and it's time for people on this board to stop shouting down those who have opinions differing from their own, labeling them wrong. Some people like Lisa's Gimme Shelter this tour -- good for them. I think it sucks in comparison to what she once did. All opinions. I hope everyone enjoyed the show and now on to Dusseldorf. nobody shouted him down.

QuotegotdablouseYeah, an unbelievable run really after a 10 year self-imposed hiatus (wanted to stay on the Oakland 2002 "high" after a disappointing Pacbell stadium show in the stands) : Trabendo, Bondy Rehearsal, O2/Pit, HP1/HP2 T1/T3FOS, SDF Pit... What software did you use to "decimate" the video? as of yet i only tried an online gif generator (https://imgflip.com/gifge

Amazing performers, simply amazing.well, what about the theatres and clubs then? i'm still paying rates of a 350€ fine for trying to hijack that plane to paris on 25-10-2012! won't that ever pay off for me?

QuoteThe Worst. They use a system with three standing categories. The second one doesn't seem to be too crowded, but the third one is I guess - just like in Paris. A stupid system, I might add. yeah, and a birdseye view of the audience could work as a chart of how the promoter miscalculated the wealth/stonesfan ratio in the respective countries

Quotestoneheartedthe band intros always amused me, because, really, do they require an introduction? Besides, in the time it takes to do the band intros, they could have performed another song. They should drop the band intros segment and fill it by performing a different song each night in its place, one they've never performed before. i thought about that too. why don't they rehearse

and i think they would have done this with "come on" if it wasn't what it is: too fast, driven by a harmonica that isn't micks, plus the band already hated it in 1963

I recently wondered why Keith never tried to get the Stones together in his famous "Room called L" in Connecticut for rehearsals. He could then proceed to record such sessions with his one-mic-against-the-wall setup, which could make for a kind of "Exile in Connecticut" sound. If Jagger doesn't like the Idea, he could even dub his vocals elsewhere since he seems to be occ
