QuoteDandelionPowderman The 1999 "BTB"-tour was just an extra because of the tax-thing. It would have been weirder had they gone back to the 97 setlist? i thought it happened because Keef fell from a ladder in his library, broke ribs so they had to reschedule some gigs? on the bootleg i posted above, Keef says before YGTS: "i get to sit down!" and someone in the audience

QuoteGasLightStreet It's hilarious that they used the NS tour setlist for the 1999 BTB tour setlist. i consider myself very fortunate for that. how many fans have ever seen SFTD as final encore?

Quotestonesrule "Funniest?" Oh, you NEW fans can be sooo very cruel. 1792 was just the BEST YEAR OF OUR LIVES! new fan? i admit i was afraid of posting here and getting beheaded right away, but i'm a lurker since, let's say 1848. that's right, the time of the big gold rush of california. if i'm not much mistaken, the long demo of "everything's turnin

QuoteTheBlockbuster Quotepetewasbristol This video just goes to show that my ears did not deceive me on the weekend. SOL sounded fantastic. Listen to the crowd at the end! Just remember that the Streets Of Love audio in that video actually is from Austin 2006, only the few seconds in the end of the video with the crowd singing is from Rome. are you sure? because i already slightly suspected that.

QuoteStratoGR Good video but I expected another song to accompany the whole thing. it could be for the FB-fans who only get to see the official stuff. for them to know the setlist ist being "shaken up". amazing singalong!

QuoteStonesCat QuoteNikkei what a freakin' awesome singalong! not to be mean to US audiences, but stuff like that only happens in europe. don't wait for a next time, get yourself on a plane! You're right it's cool, but Europe can enjoy the ballad shakeups, while us Americans will take the consolation prize of songs like Knocking, Sway, Shine A Light, and others with a little

Quotez It was a huge tour. I heard that they used more than 20 whales for the lighting. i have now read this whole epic thread and conclude that this particular contribution has to be the funniest. Z, you still around?

Quotelaertisflash "Why don't they sell those empty places behind the stage for 5 Euro and place a big screen behind the stage" Hmmm... I know a person who could easily utilize your idea, NICOS. Michael Cohl... i wonder what that guy is up to? i believe Cohl would probably settle for 25€ for behind-stage seats. but obviously, safety issues will prevent this from happening. the at

QuoteGreen Lady The band had a following among the British aristocracy from very early days - here's Bill at Kew Palace around 1789 demonstrating bass technique to some very well-bred young ladies. i always thought that Bill first started wearing those glasses AFTER leaving the band?

Did I miss anything? if you don't feel too exhausted from the journey (at least jetlag shouldn't have been an issue) you've returned just in time to see them in Werchter on saturday. believe it or not, they're still at it! some say they sound better than ever, others are more reasonable conside

Quoteslewan QuoteCristiano Radtke doesn't look like it's really overcrowded, does it? - far away from being sold out!? never heard about a law that only allows to fill GA to 2/3. to me, 3/4 would be secure enough. but it also seems as if they forgot to mount up part of their stage decoration??

Quotedeadegad ...setlist surprises like Moonlight Mile and Some Girls live became a sing along. What took them so long to play SG live? It is almost autobiographical. i thought it was consent that the legal kerfuffle with Jerry drove Mick to finally sing it live as a statement. at least i'm sure that's what he derived his anger from ;-)

Quotemarko I was in Stuttgart-99 as well,in fact theres 3 or even maybe 4 versions available of this fantastic show yeah, but mine is the best. audience-wise. there's a triple ending to SOM, but even after that, the people keep it going. and if you understand german, there's loads of funny banter in between songs. Mick saying "shidoobee" and someone with no clue rep

QuoteTheGreek the stones should open with paint it black . like they did at foxboro 9/20/06 that must've been a real shocker. can't even imagine how they led over from the industrial intro music? but it'd be a great way to shut up setlist whiners from the first minute. plus, another interesting intro for Keef to jazz up, screw up, whatever?

does Canstatter Wasen, Stuttgart 29-05-1999 count? it was announced as BtB, featured the BtB stage, but the No Security setlist. and it was one hell of a show. i was 10years old and on the shoulders of my dad. MR was performed on the B-stage, few feet away from me. since about a year ago, i own an excellent bootleg. the No Security Intro Video makes me still shiver

just listened to Green Onions and have to agree. but this has been in countless movies and is therefore difficult not to rip off in some way. because of the prominent bass, Stoned reminded me more of LZs How many more Times (which is of course some years later, as typical for LZ) anyway, as a 3rd generation fan, my mind was blown when Mick turned up the reverb and said "Stoned"
