Quotesaltoftheearth Does anyone know whose idea was that? With no basis for saying so, I feel like it might be something unexpected, like Charlie saying "Why don't we add the choir back in?" and Mick jumping on it as a good idea--and maybe Keith or even Ronnie suggesting local choirs. I wonder... Actually, a choir on stage was proposed long before they actually hired one in 20

Not easy to get some sense out of it, but I paid with my amex when I placed the order and because of the (more than 1 month) delayed shipment, appearantly the payment authorization expired and they just cancelled the order Delivery 1 of your order has been cancelled because payment was unsuccessful. When your order was placed we had an authorization to debit the payment which

Greetings Crawdaddy! It was nice meeting you at the rehearsals in Oslo and having a few pints at that Irish pubs afterwards. I've had great pleassures reading your reports from your travel this tour. I only attended the Oslo gig, but what a gig it was! The memories from that show will stay with me forever, but I am pretty sure it will not be the last time! I brought with me quite a few frien

The songs they play live are for the people in attendance at the show and not for those sitting behind computers waiting for some rarely played tune to turn up on youtube. If you're at the show together with thousands of happy fellow stones fans and it doesn't move you to hear your favourite band playing the songs that made them, right in front of you and with such intensity as they do,

What a magic evening it was last Saturday in Hyde Park. Brought my two youngsters to see them for the first time and they were just spelled. My son, 13 who is a drummer, almost got hand of Charlie's drum stick which landed by his feet and he got a little let down by that as he thought it was meant for him. Stayed a couple of xtra days in London and while lining up to board the plane to Oslo,

Well,I realize I do not contribute much on this board (I read a lot, though) but for me it's a nice little ego boosting thought that someone in their camp may have picked up on this suggestion refering to YCAGWYW back in 2009: "I really think they should hire the local town choir for the opening of the song at every place the're playing. It would be fun and it would create a lo

Quotejohnnythunders Sorry, please ignore previous post It only applies if you are going to the absurd Bocca di Lupo backstage restaurant. Which I am not. So I don't know why they sent me the email. So as you were - West Entrance for Tier 1 / Barclay Unwind Did they (BST) tell you that? I had a rather confusing email correspondence with them abt that very question and they (well kind of)

I'd rather have Route 66 instead of I wanna be your man. However, maybe R66 would fit better for the US shows. Not fade away could be a possibility tomorrow.

wonder how much they will change the set list. my guess: not fade away replacing one of the early sixties ones (maybe the opener) and cyhmk replacing m.rambler.

QuoteNaturalust What does his gig schedule say about the dates for the 4 Stones shows? Previous engagements or will the Stones possibly grace the stage with MT for the announced shows? peace The 30th of Nov is the day after the 2nd O2 show and the only MT show I'm aware of close to the 4 dates. One could always hope... At £ 25 per seat it's a fair bet.

There are still seats available at £ 25 for Mick Taylor + support at London Cadogan Hall 30th of Nov. No vip packages or free champagne, all seats same price. As it says in the ad: "Now playing with a line-up of long-time friends and musicians this is a concert you do not want to miss." Could be interesting... Got mine a month or so ago, have plane tickets to London for that week

QuoteBig Al Surely the credits for Watching The River Flow should read something like: The Rolling Stones Feat. Bill Wyman? If Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie are featured together, then surely it should go down as a Rolling Stones recording? Or maybe not? Think it should be credited "Ben Waters featuring The Rolling Stones + others".

Just a thought: There are more shows comming up at various UK theathers under the label "Boogie for Stu" which are also advertised to be "with special guests". I guess there may also be some kind of a release party when the record finally comes for sale. Could it be that ..... I mean, just like when doing the recordings they did all contribute, though not at the same time. Cou

My gut feeling is one or both of the Glimmers will show up tonight and if there was a bookie taking bets on it, I would go all in on Mick. He's been really busy lately "rebuilding" his image and it seems he wants to show the public he is "out of his hide". I do not think he would miss this opportunity. At least he has left his hotel in Los Angeles: www.musicrooms.net

It appears that Dressmann has a "button guarantee". If you loose a button they'll compensate you with a new piece of clothes. Now, at least there's an idea for free to those that will be making the commercials... What about: An old rock star coming into a store that sells clothes and tells the teenage girls behind the counter that; "I think I busted a button on my trou

I might as well have posted this under "the Rock n roll is dead" or the "are the boys fools to cry or still hot suff" threads, but I really think it deserves a thread on its own. I believe they really NEED a new record to go on tour. To do it without one, would be like touring on the back of ... Life. Not sure if ol' man Jagger is ready for that.
