QuoteNiklas Quote71Tele I have refined my idea. What if we choose a particular Stones album (my preference would be Exile, but that's probably too ambitious) and everyone takes a song. Then we sequence them in the same order as the original album. Maybe too much, but what the heck. Just throwin' it out there... If Exile is chosen, give me and my band The Crawlin' Kingsnakes All d

QuoteGreg Gee, I hope this doesn't affect the sales of the new EXILE in a negative way... I think it might affect the sales of the super duper mega delux box set that's supposed to contain the pink gel life size replica of the lead singer's genitals. You know the set with the "Rip His Joint" version (http://exileonmainst.shop.bravadousa.com/Product.aspx?cp=34299_34394&a

Quoteelectricmud That`s true: it kills the excitement. That`s the reason why Not Fade Away never really worked for me. Nice idea, nice opening but too controlled. People want to freak out and explode after waiting so long. Songs like SMU or JJF are perfect opener. I loved UMT in 81/82. It has a similar mood to NOT FADE AWAY but it worked better cause many shows were daylight-shows.The people we

Quotesquando YCAGWYW stripped and acoustic would work anywhere. .... Agree. And I really think they should hire the local town choir for the opening of the song at every place the're playing. It would be fun and it would create a lot of good publicity in the local press before the shows.

Quotechelskeith I like the idea- I've always thought they should do a two set show- and maybe this would give them a chance to come out and do an acoustic set to warm everyone up, take a break and then come back electric and rocking. I've thought about this scenario as a older music set to open -maybe 60's, followed by 70's and up, or only new music to start and then the w

Think it's never been done before (or has it?). What abt for the next tour opening with a slow one instead of the usual running out on stage working up the crowd by hammering out Start Me Up or Jumping Jack? Something like this: The arena and stage in total darkness. Band being intruduced and just some minimalistic white spots following the band members walking out and taking their st

Think this project leader suddenly realised he had been indiscreet. One of you Sweedes should stalk the guy. Find out where he goes for a drink after work, place yourself next to him in the bar and order a whisky, same brand as Keith drinks. This project leader being a Stones fan himself will for sure pick the bait and there you go. After a few rounds and some good Stones talk he for sure just wi

Why not just think of it as an amazing thing itself that people are sitting here in 2009 and seriously discussing the prospects of a possible upcoming tour or a new record. Who would really have thought so back in ...... (fill in whenever it was you first became aware of this by all means an extraordinary band)? I think I recall that after having seen them live in Gothenburg in 1982 I had the

Quotefranzk Addicted, do you remember during which song these "ice shots" were taken? My guess would be either Monkey Man or Midnight Rambler. Looks no one replied to your question, so I'll do it. I remember that moment. It was towards the end of MR when it slows down and pauses. Althought still early in the show, the crowd were already becoming ecstatic and started the applause

He he, would of course be the easiest way out to say that I fully realised it was fake. However, why not be honest and admit that I made a quick google search and while I cathed there was some irony in the text, in my eagerness I totally missed that the whole article was fake and ironic. At least that gives me a nice debut on this forum... To my excuse, my head might still be a little dizzy a

Although this is not revolutionary news, it would still be interesting to know what is behind it. Why is the band maintaining a relationsship with the HA? Business motivated, are we talking abt some kind of preassure or is it simply that they wish to keep some of the "bad guys" image from earlier days alive? Anyone that could throw some light on it?
