QuoteMathijs QuoteDandelionPowderman I have listened to all the videos, and although it's great, I have one simple question: Aren't most of what we are hearing the backing tracks that were used on the album(s), only mixed slightly different + a few edits?? Rocks Off, for instance, Taylor's out of phase guitar is a little more prominent in the mix, but it sounds like it's th

don't see it happening as one person said , too much bad blood. can't see stu and doug being able to put up with john's perfectionism after a 40yr split. i'm not bashing john when i say that.

seemed like every copy i had of hot rocks on cassette (before mid 80's remasterings) ran very slow. it took me a long time to get used to the hearing the correct speeds on vinyl and later on cd.

Quotealimente QuoteBrianJones1969 Now if this was a fan-made version on the original, then I wonder what the Stones would do to make this version be their next live version? All versions of "Gimme Shelter" from birth (from Nico Zentgraf's website) Take 1: titled "Give Me Some Shelter." Nicky Hopkins on piano, Jimmy Miller on percussion, alternate Mick Jagger lead voca

great as in ticket & album sales or great as in talent? there are/were many great american bands but the record companies in the states have always demanded hits instead of art.i don't know how it was elsewhere but up until the 70's people listened to the radio and mostly bought singles instead of albums. am radio was king and it was basically hits while fm radio was more underg

i like my paint it black with brian on sitar. i like can't you hear me knocking with taylor's lead. and i like hey negrita with ronnie debuting his skills next there will be threads that mick, keith, charlie, ronnie, bill , ian and taylor are overrated. i love the stones and can't picture them lasting without talent that's graced the band over the decades

Quotetatters I think that was just a scene in the movie. I'm not sure it ever really happened. Any Doors experts know the true story about that? the big difference between what happened and what was in the movie was the commercial never made it to T.V. John Densmore recalls that Buick offered $75,000 in October, 1968 to adapt the song for use in a Buick Opel TV commercial ("Come

until 1969 brian was the stones . i love mick taylor and ronnie but brian and ian stewart founded the stones and without him ,we would be listening to little boy blue and the blue boys without wyman and watts as well. and that's if they would of got a record deal.for a stones fan to say brian is overrated is like a christian saying god is.

densmore is the only one of the surviving member of doors who doesn't treat jim morrison's image as a cash cow. a few yrs ago ray manzarek and robby krieger talked him into letting riders on the storm be used for a commercial.he later felt guilty about it and gave all the money to charity.while jim was alive the other doors allowed Buick to use light my fire for a commercial while morri

the term RSVP comes from the French expression répondez s'il vous plaît, which translates into English as "Please respond." as for stones connection it is the name of a bootleg of the beggars banquet sessions. the original release of beggars had a plain cover styled as an invitation notice with RSVP at the bottom beggars banquet rsvp bootleg
