Wikipedia says:

Perry has recently rekindled a childhood love for cattle and dairy farming and currently has an interest in a small bovine insemination business in California's Central Valley

Also says that he's contemplating recording a solo album in the future.

OK, if that Wiki entry is real it is the most unintentionally funny thing I have ever read. For the rest of my life whenever I think of Steve Perry I will think "bovine insemination".

Sam Cooke came back from the dead and demanded his singing style back.

Steve Perry was not the first vocalist with Journey. Greg Rolle was. Then Perry came in and turned Journey into a bubble gum rock band.

True, which is probably why they weren't very commercially succesful. But man,Neil Schon could really play back then.

Steve Perry was the 3rd vocalist in Journey. The 2nd vocalist was Robert Fleischmann

4th Journey vocalist: Steve Augeri
5th Journey vocalist: Jeff Scott Soto (only on the US-tour with Def Leppard & some European dates)
6th Journey vocalist: Arnel Pineda (=amazing live performer) Arnel made me to a Journey fan, a thing which did not happened as Steve Perry sung lead.

Brings new meaning to "cow tipping." In any event, a Steve Perry album at this point is likely to be an udder disgrace. smiling bouncing smiley

Bovine insemination versus singing and performing..HMMMM........... that's a touch choice for me too. Hope he wears gloves and doesn't mind getting sticky.

for the most part i can't stand his singing though i do like their Infinity album. perry turned a fairly decent band into a mushy pop song chick band
