QuoteAquamarine QuoteKingbeebuzz I live in the UK. All through the 1960s I bought each Stones album at the time of release (all UK versions) from my local record shop and none of them were ever "factory sealed". The LPs were in racks so that you could look through them and read the covers but when you bought one it came from fresh stock held behind the counter on racks and was mint

What you all have written is true. Still, I wonder where does one seller find strong M/M copies with correct inner sleeves so that his sales can stand the opening of sealed copy? I mean, one can’t seal used copies… I remember that in my hometown long ago there where a few warehouses were thousands of old albums were stocked and for sale. The mist of them were still sealed.

Since when we're young, we spend a lot of time and energies in building our identity by selecting a number of persons, sites, interests and things that define ourselves, our comfort zone and our identity. Everything we do is meant to become the person we feel we are or we wish we were. Loosing one of these pillars is very hard because we're afraid that the whole house could fall. A div

I’ve decided that 2023 will be the last year I buy new records as a completist. I’ll keep on buying old ones, instead.

I’m experienced with RIAA framed awards, but 500.000 copies between 1971 and 1986/7 seem too little to me to consider it as genuine…

Quotejackflash27 As a vinyl collector, I'm trying to figure out what official live album releases are available / have been put out in the past. I count full concerts and regular live albums (like Ya-ya's and Flashpoint). With the help of Discogs / wikipedia I came to the following list. There are some releases which could lead to debate. For instance: - is 'on air' a live a

Yes, exactly... That shop was a very good one, before disbanded and one the owners went on his own without reaching those peaks anymore. Nowadays, the milanese scene is very poor. Second hand shops, but no Collector's shops in town. The only one that sometimes has collectible records is Metropolis, in my opinion. Rock Bottom in Florence is one of the best shops in Europe, instead. Ciao,
