Ah ah no, you're dreaming
AC/DC doesn't need anyone to fill stadiums.
The Stones did, in 2003.

And they needed Metallica, too, on the A Bigger Bang Tour. I don’t recollect whether they were billed at the ‘opener’, or if it was a double-bill. I’m assuming it was all due to poor ticket sales? As big as the Stones are, I find it hard to believe that monstrously popular metal act, like Metallica, would wish to support anyone. Still, it happened. Anyone know the full story?

never say never again...but they like ticking boxes...and they've ticked that one already.
don't think it's really the money.
They wouldn't mobilise the army just for that...but if they're already campaigning in Europe, it's just an extra skirmish to engage in.

They stood in line, like other support acts, to meet the Stones. And they were instructed not to use the entire stage.
There were a few funny stories about the meet and greet. Lars Ulrich said (paraphrasing) «Mick Jagger looked at me like I was about to give him pneumonia, or something»
Not sure if they were needed to secure the ticket sale, though, but I reckon it made the sell out a safer bet.
Here's another interview with Ulrich:

Any word on the UK?
Hyde Park again?
Twickenham again?
London Stadium again?
Anfield again?
Glastonbury again?
They still have never played the new Wembley Stadium

They won’t do Anfield that’s for sure. It barely broken even for the promoters last time, they ended up giving 1000s away to local residents to fill it up.
I do know that the Co Op live owners made a pitch for them a while back when they opened that arena. It never worked out but don’t be surprised to see a date either there or at the Ethiad Stadium over the road. McCartney and Springsteen already have dates in the arena upcoming, they really do seem to pay a premium to entice the big guns indoors.
I don’t see a Glastonbury slot. The Stones ticked it off the list in 2012 and took a massive cut to do so. BST seems the most logical one. Wembley dates are non existent in 2025, Oasis and Coldplay have swallowed them all up. So much so Oasis had to add 2 further dates at the end of September as that was all they had left available.
