No ways there is a tour in plans.

But there're strong hints for Munich and Vienna.

Paris on 17th may Stade de France. It might be the opening night

Maybe I should pencil in that weekend... no harm in doing that... grinning smiley

New 'insider'-infos here [www.oe24.at]

According to reliable sources there are plans for a 14-gig-tour between May and September 2025.
Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna seems to be reserved from August 10-12.
An official announcement isn't expected before February 25.

May to September for 14 Dates? That's a Concert per week. I bet they just took the list that was posted here before and made an article out of it.

Another nonsense.
Most probabl these 'articles' are AI produced and have nothing to do with actual plans. There is no tour planned, that's it.

There is a tour planned. Here comes the but: But - it might never happen. That is because plans might change, the global situation or European situation might change, health might change and so on.

So it is fair to say: There is a tour planned. And it fair to say: The tour might never happen. Both things are true at the same time.

Most of us really want the tour to happen - so keep up the good spirits.

Glad to hear a tour is planned. But the "but" is always there with the Stones and with a little band from my village touring around the county next Spring.

I know it's tricky for many here to contain themselves, but let's wait for the official announcement, eh? Only when this occurs, will we all know the full picture and schedule.

Exactly. I am just trying to keep cool and say: all opinions are valid and no need to shut up people by posting "no tour, that's it". At the end this thread is called "European Tour 2025 - rumors?" and not "no rumors".

with all these other big acts announcing tours it should become relatively easy to guess where and when the Stones are (not) going to do shows…

Well, in our country Springsteen and Guns'n'Roses play big outoor gigs on the same day...I know, strange. Why would they pick the same date for Guns, when Bruce's date is known since May? They play a huge outdoor venue and they need all the casual fans and casual concert-goers to somehow fill it. Many of them have bouht their Springsteen tickets long ago. I can't see enough of die-hard Guns' fans to fill the field. But what do I know?

Two more cents: the same week the RS will be in Rome, Eric Clapton plays in Milan on Wednesday. Now, I can’t decide if I’d better buy tickets for Clapton or not…
On top of that, will they find a way to host him, in Rome. The plot thickens…

Just looked at GNR's 2016-2019 tour dates. In Europe for one round of shows they had two opening acts. Other dates had just one opening act, quite a few, including The Cult, ZZ Top, Lenny Kravitz and The Who!

Odd though - the European shows had much bigger audiences than anywhere else and all but one were sold out. In North America they're either in NFL stadiums with only 35000 or so available. What's the point of that!? Oh right - it's the gargantuan stage. Only two or three of those sold out.

There's demand but not, apparently, what Axl thinks. It's amazing people pay to hear a cat screech through a microphone.

I saw GnR for the first, second and third time last year and was pretty impressed. And I'll repeat what I said back then: If you go to GnR to see Axl Rose, you might be disappointed, but if you go to see Slash, you'll be thrilled

There are no even decent rumours, you have two weeks to Christmas.
Simply no way that any tour will happen. They either have other plans (new album?) or something else. How long before the actual tour announcement we get BV rumours? Most of you even got to book hotels in the rumoured show locations. Now, nothing like that. No ways there is a tour in plans.

No "decent" rumors means no tour? I don't think so. Just be patient. Those in the know probably have NDA's and don't want to leak it and risk losing a large pay day.

Re: European Tour 2025 - rumors?

bv will only post rumours on the main page a few weeks before the official announcement. 2018 official announcement was end of February with the first show in Dublin in the middle of May. Not a very big gap at all. 2019 was November 2018 and then rescheduled later.

Bands will have to have holds on the venues quite a bit in advance, see U2 2025... then cancelled...

Booking hotels with free cancellation, what's the problem? It's a punt and if it works out then those with hotels next to the venue will have saved a small fortune winking smiley

It would be really cool to hear Clapton guest on a RS gig again. For example Little Red Rooster or even Wild Horses? Maybe he can sing that one too.

It'd be interesting to hear Eric guest on Can't You Hear Me Knocking, and how he approaches the solo differently to Ronnie and Mick Taylor.

I think we have “decent” rumors. I don’t see the problem rn. Christmas is around the corner and things are relatively quiet from them. I’m fairly confident right after New Years you’ll get Mick and Keith posting a video with a see you soon message. It’ll fall into place

Munich News ?

No, not really. The city of Munich will allow in 2025 the Allianz Arena as an alternative to Olympic Stadium for concerts. The Stones would have the choice between them.

Guns N' Roses will play on June, 20th at Allianz Arena while Robbie Williams plays at Olympic Stadium on July, 6th.

The reason why The Rolling Stones have been performing at the Munich Olympiastadium is, as the newspaper report is stating, the fact that the new and bigger "Allianz Arena" was not available for concerts in the past years, in order to have the Olympiastadium still "active" with events. But, for 2025, Allianz Arena with capacity 75,000 seats, i.e. 60,000 for a Stones concert, would be available.

To be precise, the Allianz Arena was never intended or allowed for concerts. The temporary change is only because of the renovation of the Olympic Stadium. And who knows what the concert acoustics of the Allianz Arena will be.

At least seats are much closer to the stage than in the Olympiastadium.

By the way: if Rome is in: this city will be flooded by tourists next year because of the Jubilee Year 2025.

If Europe is anything like the US, it's almost impossible to complete any tasks 2nd half of December into early January as a lot of people in the industry are taking extended vacations.

December in Europe is 100% shopping, decorating for the Holiday Season, pre-Christmas dining etc.

Early January is busy too, empty bank accounts, half price sales etc, hard to get business like ticket sales running when all the money has ben spent i December.
