I dont think Percy's view is at all ambivilant, as Gazza says he seems at ease wher he is and thast why he can praise his past, it just aint an issue one way or the other for him these days. Thast why he is probably comfortable playing LZ song in his solo sets these days as well. I cant recommned The recent Plant/Krauss album highly enough. along withe the recent Thurston Moore solo album

Mrs. Phleghm has recently got the gig going bug again and fancied seeing Rod The Mod, so off we went to the dreaded twickenaham, dreadfull day with transport there and back, poured out of the heavans, nothing but a piece of plastic to keep me dry and i feckin loved it, nothing new was created under the sun (or rain) but he knows how to put on a great show. The Pretenders put in a fine set as supp

any version of the Marquee post Wardour sty. were soulless corporate sheds. my first job in london was in Wardour st. I checked the Marquee out first day and couldnt belive the stench of stale beer and piss. but it somehow seemed transformed at gig time, best gigs i've seen there were ZZ Top, REM (first london show) the Jam. It was a bit of a liggers place butmost london club venues are lik

Vashti's 30 years in musicak exile ended a few years bacj, her debut album selling for big ££££££s on ebay etc. Whilst i love my folk, I found Vashti a wee bit twee to say the lest, despite several friiends with good taste trumpeting her case, i wasnt convinced. So what that gotta do with the stones ? well her pre folk, pop period demos and few singles have been compiled and released and it

all vey good and valid points JMARKO bit isnt it often the abuse of those privildges or the breaching work rules tha tmake some of our most cherished "unofficial" recordings available. Of course some are leaked and shared with approval. Lowell George of Little Feat was know to pass on soundboard recordings to earn a few bob on the side but he mixed them first to ensure a decent qual

The beatles stones debate was only ever relevant when they were UKs top 2 bands. The both had their influnces, I allways felt that the Fabs veered more towards the soul side and the stones the blues in their influnces and songs they covered. why anyone is debaiting it today is beyond me. i would be curious to know how many who cite one as a better live band then the other have seen both of them

Good to see Thundercrack in the set, it may JUST MAY be a mainstay as it coming in the encore. As fun as they were I wont mis the covers section. I get the point re "vetern" act bein relevant but how relveant are the charts and radio play these days ? not much in my opinion and if they were I hear tha tBruce came in at number 1 in the UK charts.

"I couldn't care less what Bruce's political leanings are and neither should you. Bruce is on the show because he's what VERY old people think the "kids" are listening to. In other words, his career is almost dead." maybe it is and maybe it aint, but if it is, then the stones career must not only be dead but the stink has even gone leaving nothing but bones,
