Does anyone have ideas for a Stones-related Halloween costume? Am headed out to see Bobby Keys on Halloween & thought something Stones related would be fitting for the night!! Thanks!

I've seen them maybe 6 times between the late 70's up until 5 years ago. They've always put on a great show, however I have to say that they don't seem to be as enthusiastic as they used to be. If you've never seen them, I'd highly recommend going though... Enjoy!

Any chance on Tim & friends playing marty's in the near future? They had a show scheduled for December 28th, but had to cancel at the last moment. We're anxiously waiting a return visit. Summertime in Chicago is so much better than winter! Please say YES!!!

Fitzgerald's is a great venue!! For anyone thinking of coming into town for the show, Buddy Guy is also playing a free show on July 4th @ Grant Park as part of the Taste of Chicago.

I've seen Buddy probably 20-25 times.... it's just something he doesn't do. During the last song, he discreetly walks off the stage while his band continues playing for a bit. That's it... end of show!

There's a very special angel up there now. I can't imagine the amount of pain your family is feeling right now. We lost a granddaughter who passed after living for 1 hour about 5 years ago... I still cried for her today. Keep the good memories alive and you'll have Jade with you forever.

Quotestoned in washington dc Quotewineaux Sunday night, Buddy Guy @ Legends... and the person who was supposed to go with me just backed out!!! dont you hate that? Yep.... sure do. And worse yet, it that the reason he had to back out is because his wife won't let him go with me. We've been friends since 1st grade (a good 45 years ago), and I'm best friends with his sister.

Sincere condolences to you & yours.... the numbness & sinking feeling in your stomach will eventually go away. Keep your love & good times shared together close to your heart & it will help greatly. My Dad passed 3 years ago & just very recently lost my Mom. It's the toughest thing to go through; remember - life goes on. Cherish those close to you & let them help

Those who have 'connections' have been entrusted by those within the organization to keep any information, no matter what it may be, to themselves. It's all about keeping the trust within a friendship... if any information leaks, the trust is gone & so is the friendship. A friendship is much more important to me than passing along any bit of information that one may have le

My first thought was also Beth Orton. I do have 2 of her CD's (Trailer Park & Central Reservation). Don't know a lot about her other than she's got an awesome mystical voice. I especially like Water from a Vine & She Cries your Name. Her voice is normally much stronger than what was on the clip posted.

I also received 2 emails tonight.... one directly from Martyr's and one from the ticket agency. One states that the show has been postponed and one states that the show has been canceled. Hoping that they'll reschedule soon!

I had never seen the Eagles until a few months ago in Chicago.... it was totally a last-minute decision. A friend wanted to go so another friend & I tagged along just for the experience. We ended up getting $210 seats for $140 from a ticket broker, since it was the day of the show. The show was good... not great, but good. I was glad we went.... Joe Walsh was the best part of the show.

Here's the schedule with opening acts (might persuade some of you to make a trip to Chicago! Who is opening for Buddy? Thursday, January 8th: Ronnie Baker Brooks Friday, January 9th: Brother John Saturday, January 10th: NuBlu Band featuring Carlise Guy Sunday, J

We've seen them twice @ Martyr's in Chicago (2005 & 2006?) & both shows in London in August 2007. About a month ago, I saw that they're supposed to be playing December 28 @ Martyr's, but it's still not on Martyr's website (where tix for most of Martyr's shows are sold). Nonetheless, we definitely plan on being there! And then the following week, Bu

Living in Chicago, we've had the opportunity to see both Phil & Buddy numerous times @ Legends (occasionally sharing the stage) and other locations. Phil's passing is not only a great loss to the Guy family, but to the blues fans of Chicago. It won't be the same going into Legends and not seeing the real "blues brothers". The following is what's posted on Lege

Listened to a lot of Tim Ries & Co at work today thinkng about how great it would be to have been in Amsterdam seeing the show instead of working a 14-hour day in a little cubicle in Chicago! Any word on the show tonight? I'm sure it was great. They always are. Hopefully, they'll take the Project back to the States for a mini-tour. If they need any help with arrangements in Chic

This year's lineup is probably the best yet! We're heading down Thursday afternoon.... to avoid some of the crowds that'll be there on the weekend and yes, to see Honeyboy Edwards and Pinetop Perkins following. Johnny Winter & James Cotton rounding up the night. Caught a bit on Honeyboy last year at the Blues on the Fox festival... it was about 93 degrees out that afternoo

Here's the hours.... I'd be very interested in tagging along. I do have a couple of things going on that weekend (like our granddaughter's 1st dance recital); that takes precedence even over Bluesfest on Saturday! It may actually be better to go to both Chess & Bluesfest during the week... less crowds. They have a great lineup for all 4 days and with it being their 25th an

Quotelittle queenieMaybe people should bet on which horse is going to break a leg? Not quite sure how to take this comment?? If it was meant as a joke, I'm not finding the humor in it. We placed a number of bets, many of which included Eight Belles. Was thrilled to see her run so well and come in 2nd, especially being the only philly. And it was absolutely heartbreaking to see her go

Back Door Slam, June 9th @ Buddy Guy's Legends. Oh, and my brother is taking me to see Rush May 20th. Not one of my faves, but he's seen them numerous times and loves them. 3rd row center... should be interesting!
