The Bridge Is In Keith's Yard?
Posted by: skipstone ()

I heard that Keith has the Bridges bridge in his yard.

Is that true? Does anyone know for sure? That's absolutely hilarious if that is the case!

Keith Moon had bought the '75 Stones stage and put it in his backyard.

This is how The Sun reported the news just prior to the end of the Bridges To Babylon Tour:

Keith has a very nice garden in Weston. He's very proud of it, and he invited his landscape architect to the O2 for the final show on the ABB tour. Both Keith and Patti are very happy with the work she's done. (Met her in the elevator on my way down from the Rattlesnake Inn)

Ahhh! Well at least I had part of it right - he did have the bridge somewhere! I just had no idea where and guessed it was in Connecticut.

It's too bad he didn't have it as it was for the tour so he could make it go over a pond or something hilarious like that.

Well, Redlands has a nice big moat (where he used to shoot the water rats to feed to the geese).

If it ended up at Redlands back then, it's no longer there. A Bridge Too Far?

A gypsy caravan and a life-sized Great Dane ornament yes

>> A gypsy caravan and a life-sized Great Dane ornament yes <<

are you talking about Ronnie's garden or Keith's? we know about Ronnie's caravan, of course,
and Ronnie has at least a couple of life-size Great Danes that aren't ornaments

Keith also mentioned he's got this little hovercraft for the moat - but I think it never worked.

now where the heck did I read that?

smile: the hovercraft crashed into the moat almost as soon as he got it, never to hover again.
he talks about it in that 1999 Chris Evans interview: "what, can't a bloke have a moat if he wants one?! it's just a small moat!"

(it's mentioned in Tony Sanchez's book too.)
