I was lucky enough to attend this show and have to say it was amazing. Is there a bootleg CD? If so where can I track it down?

If anyone could possibly copy the Slane show onto a CD for me, I would be willing to pay them for their time and kindness

Yeah great picture, it's in his recent portrait book. Also includes great shots of Morissey, Damon Albarn, Bobby Gillespie, Damian Hirst. Definitely worth a look for all you photography fans. I think the book is called Fotografie.

I have recently gotten some bootlegs and am keen on getting some cover art for their Cd cases. Whether I have to design it myself or not. Can anyone recommend a site that would help me out or another option? All help much appreciated!

Bowie's influence on popular culture has far exceeded Keith's. Perhaps even the Stones. Between 1970 and 1983 his grasp on popular culture was unsurpassed. Moreso than any rockstar before or since, including Elvis, The Beatles and The Stones. Music, Fashion, Art and Film are still being influenced by him and to top it all off he still sings great, looks great and writes current, inf

I agree, the record is a total stinker: DISC 1: 1. Jumping Jack Flash (Boring, done to death and better than this version) 2. Shattered (Wrong tempo for this song. Mick doesn't sing. Just talks over the horrible noise) 3. She Was Hot (Mick has simply decided not to even try and hit a single note on this one, also it's much too long)

His Diamond Dogs album cover for Bowie must truly be the best album cover of all time. "I guess that's the picture you send to the draft board"

Just finished Clapton's biography and there's no mention of an affair. Also Nurreyev was apparantly not interested in Jagger at all despite Mick bombarding him with flowers and invitations to dinner. When they did meet Nurreyev was very rude. So I doubt they had an affair.

Hopefully we'll have the full show on one disc. With subtitles and audio commentary from both Scorsese and the Stones. The second disc should include a making of documentary, rehearsals, out-takes, interviews with band and fans, and a big surprise (maybe an unknown song).

Is a funeral mentioned in this song? I've never heard it. To me, it's about a mood. A feeling of absolute apathy. Not wanting to see anyone/anything. We've all been there, surely?

Mick once voted Miss You, Out Of Tears, Out Of Control, Loving Cup and Smypathy For The Devil as his favourites. Keith's were mostly warhorses.

This seems to be a recurring theme on this board. I don't think Jagger was ever "gay", however, he like Bowie experimented in the 60's and 70's. Evidence of this comes from the people closest to him. Keith, Anita, Marianne, Robert Fraser, Andrew Oldham, the Bowies and countless groupies all claim to have knowledge of his bisexuality. My guess would be that he just gre

Ronnie & Mick seem to have a pretty thick head of hair. Seems to me like they must be shaving their chest hair. Anyone else ever consider this? I very much doubt they take the trouble to shave their chests. That would be a bit sad. I'm 25 and still don't have any.

While I can't help with information I commend your choice of new music. A very talented group, worth keeping an eye on. Judging from how few posts this got and how many hits the Bon Jovi post recieved I can see that we are alone in our excellent taste

I just got my copy of Shine A Light on Saturday and I'm afraid to say that it is the worst Stones record ever. Mick Jagger should be ashamed to put his name to it. His "noise-making", because I can't call it singing is without a doubt the most unprofessional, tinny and unlistenable rubbish ever committed to record.

Can anyone tell me if the Stones vaults contain professional films of every tour since the sixties? I've seen all the official stuff and some very hazy bootleg material that doesn't capture the shows of 1971 ,1972, 1975, 1976. If so, are we just waiting for the gates to open and these perfectly filmed shows to emerge?

Although I think this song in their all time top 10, I wouldn't want to see them do it live nowadays. Mick would sing it in his horrible, nasally voice missing all the emotion and then let the extended band turn it into a horrible mess. I understand Micks not singing flat out on every song on a huge tour but I honestly think he can no longer sing with passion. Even in the studio he mostly

A lovely and forgotten gem in their songwriting past. I'm quite sure that this song and many others will be lost over the years. Hopefully someone will discover it and treasure it like we do.

QuoteThe Greekits all about the money.when you go to work do you work for free? i dont think so.myself i would not show up without the money!!! I don't think that The Rolling Stones would be left empty handed at the end of a year long theatre only tour. They could each make several millions. Just not 530 million.

QuotebvIt would be like having the Pope coming to the smallest square in town talking to people. The biggest problem would be how to sell the tickets. The only way to distribute the tickets fairly would be to fan club members. I think BV over-estimates how many casual fans would be willing to pay not only the exorbitant ticket prices but also pay 100 euros to join the shamefully bad official

I've often heard people say that The Rolling Stones are unable to tour on a small scale (theaters) as they have to many fans. While they can of course fill any stadium in the world, it would not be impossible for them to play residencies at small theaters around the world for a year. They could explore their back catalogue, introduce new material, drop the theatrics of the giant stages and

"Campness" is much more accepted in Europe than in America, I think. Perhaps Mick realised this and decided to tone it down a little and not offend their biggest market.

Streets Of Love stole the show in Amsterdam in 2005. My then girlfriend, a non-Stones fan, was bowled over. She sang it for weeks. So for Mick to say that new material will not appeal is bo**ocks. It's important to have a healthy mix. "Streets Of Love", "This Place Is Empty", "Rain Fell Down" & "Rough Justice" & "Biggest Mistake"
