Papo, I respect your opinion but you could'nt be more wrong! Would you not enjoy this show? It's got some rarities, some well known hits, some covers and some interesting new material. It's only laziness that keeps them from experimenting and thats a fact!

My Girlfriend says that "It is'nt healthy to talk so much about a band". Is she right. I told her that for me, the Stones are more than a band. They're part of my life. I love going to their shows, as does she, but she thinks that we're all too involved. Who's right?

It would be a dream come true. No Satisfaction, JJF, Tumbling Dice, Start Me Up, Angie, Sympathy (Unless it's the 1969 version), Miss You or Brown Sugar. Although I love these songs they've been done to death. It's time to bring forward some classics from the past and present. My wish list for a Stones show would be: 1)Out Of Control(With long intro) 2)Jiving Sister Fann

You've got good taste, michrud! Also love his "You Don't Have To Mean It", "The Nearness Of You", "You got the silver", "Little T&A", "Coming Down Again", "The Worst" & "This Place Is Empty". Getting sick of hearing "Slipping Away" and "Before They Make Me Run" live. It's shamefully

I hate the sound of the latter albums (especially Steel Wheels), even when the songs are First Class. It sounds rigid, unmoving and rarely has the kick of Sticky Fingers era. I think they need a new producer, no offence to Was. But it's time to wipe the slate clean and get a dirtier sound going again! A dirty sound is possible without sounding dated, lads!

An Irish radio this morning called for the Stones retirement! They claimed that Mick Jagger can no longer remember the Stones Lyrics and is fed all his cues by auto-cue. Having seen a few shows this tour, I can't believe this! Does anyone have the official answer.

Micks dress sense when off stage is very cool. Beautiful suits, cool t-shirts and jeans. Onstage he can be hit and miss. Some cool spangly jackets, but alot of awful cheap looking tat aswell. I realise he has to be visible to the masses but really? Check the mirror occasionally!

Great posts. However I have to disagree with whoever said Bowie is not good live. I've seen him several times and he is one of the greatest performers ever!

Any thoughts? I think that both men have made huge contributions to modern pop. However I've noticed many Stones fans are quite sniffy about Bowie. Why is this? Any other fans on here. And if so which do you think has had the biggest effect on you?

Wow Beelyboy,You've actually scared me. I've guessed from your reply, which I quite enjoyed, you are American. Please accept my sincerest apologies. I realise that my statement looked like a sweeping generalisation but please don't take offence. I simply meant that many Americans like their Pop to be non-challenging. I hope I have not offended you or anyone else on this board.

684. Videos?
Are we ever gonna see a DVD release of Stones videos, ala Best of Bowie. They have all those great videos/promos ready to go. Or perhaps we'll have to wait until they are no more. Does anyone know of any future releases of any Stones DVD?

I too am glad, Sway is one of the most majestic, beautiful songs in pop history. But it's hardly taking a risk, mate. One song? When they have hundreds of new and old ready to go!

I agree with both Rolling Hansie and bv. The Stones have been the biggest musical influence on my life. I admire them for not only the great songs but their ability to bring artistry into pop. I think they have recorded some great work in the last 20 years, ie. "Already Over Me, The Worst, New Faces, Out Of Control, Infamy, Anybody Seen My Baby, etc. but wish that they would once again sh

Is there any future for the Stones? At least one we can be proud of? I figure it will go one of two ways: a)2007: Having just finished their bigger bang tour in America, amidst complaints about outrageous ticket prices and never-changing set lists, the Stones are once again announced the highest paid performers ever. They take another eight years to produce another album, patchy at best. Anot

I could'nt agree more with your views on Aerosmith and U2. Aerosmith were fun 30 years ago. The problem with them was that they never grew beyond their earlier influences (ie. Stones) and became valid artists in their own right. Although their shows were at least fun, Tyler never had the dangerous edge Jagger did. Also they're songs had no elasticity, only driving rhythms and "
