I hardly think you can blame Mick being camp for the demise of the band. If so, why hadn't the band crumbled years before. In interviews and footage dating right back to 1963 you can clearly see that Mick is not a macho guy. Marianne Faithfull talked about his bisexuality in her excellent book and even claims this was one reason she found Mick attractive.

I think the whole world seems more interested in Mick's sexuality than Mick himself. All Keith did in answering that question is prove he has the mouth of a sailor.

Just watched some of this show on youtube. "I Got The Blues" knocked my socks off. Is this show available on CD or DVD? I already have "Leeds Lungs". Perhaps it is the only available 71 show.

I think that many people seem to have read this as a negative thread. This was the absolute opposite of what I had intended. I was trying to say that Jagger was so far beyond the label "Rock Star", that he's become a cultural presence and indeed a historic figure in his own lifetime. One way beyond his contemporaries, musically, artistically, financially and in performance.

My friends and I were recently discussing rock stars over a few beers and needless to the Stones/Jagger came up. My friends who are all Springsteen, Aerosmith, AC/DC fans prefer a more down home, average blue collar, one of the guys kind of Rock star than my remote, removed, favourites: Bowie and Jagger. During the discussion I suggested that Jagger was not really a rock/pop star at all. I

There's no way Mick wears wigs. I just can't see it. His hair is of course dyed, but I have no doubt it's all his own.

While I don't expect Keith to be the first in line to purchase the current number 1 on the hit parade and I agree that both Oasis and Arctic Monkeys are absolutely dreadful, I do think it's sad that he seems so out of so sorts for an artist. I really do think that Keiths apathy towards muic/writing is a major contribution to the the Stones safeness on records.

As I wasn't born until 5 years after this show was first broadcast I have a slightly different view. I like it. It's silly fun. Obviously, they had just finished what is, by all accounts, a great tour and thought F**k It. Lets have fun. It may not be what we are used to but I think thats a good thing.

Cindy C I think you may be the woman for me. The Stones, Sarah Silverman, Team America. It sounds like a match made in heaven.

Actually...I've got a weird crush on Sarah Silverman. Always have. I assume you've seen her tv show & videos etc... (my wife says it ok) I also have a huge crush on Sarah. I first saw her about six months ago doing stand up on the secret policemen's ball and I have to say, I think she is a very sexy woman.

Hi flacnvinyl, you've never dragged up? I would suggest that 90% of guys have whether for a fancydress party/fun/whatever. Mick shouldn't worry. It takes a real man to carry off a ballgown

Visions Of Paradise Brand New Set Of Rules God Gave Me Everything I Want All good songs. I'd like to have heard them played with a live band, preferabley the Stones, in the Studio. I wonder how Jagger decides which songs will be for the solo work and which for the Stones.

I don't like Bring Me The Disco King on Reality. I thought it was just plain boring. Not a suitable closer for an otherwise great album. Also it didn't work well live. It's just not my cup of tea.

I understand Jagger when he says things like he wants to look forward rather than haul through their past. However with eight year gaps between albums I suspect that he is the least forward looking artist in pop history. I don't expect them to produce an album every six months like they did in their early twenties. But come on, a Stones album every two years would sell at least a mill

Is there any love for the "Hours" album out there? It's not his most poppy material, but there is some real gems for anyone interested! Dreaming My Life, Seven and Thursdays Child are all great songs.

I'm afraid you're wrong. It was in fact the Slane show. We were treated to the sight of a flacid tongue bobbing around behind the band. Also if memory serves me correctly the finale fireworks didn't go off as planned.

This is one of my all time favourite moments of Bowie's. Just too cool. Simplistic, smart, sexy. The whole "Low" album is a must have for anyone even curious about Bowie.

Before they release the contents of the vaults they should test the waters with products like a complete DVD of all their videos (a la Bowie). A glossy, well packaged, comprehensive over-view of their songs is long overdue. I really can't understand their reluctance to do so as it would take very little effort and make a lot of money.

This album would be vastly improved by the exclusion of the boring "Summer Romance" and the truly embarassing "Where The Boys All Go". For me, every other track is a winner.

"Yes I hope Dave makes at least one more cd of new songs" Only one? While his touring days are probably over, I fully expect to have many more years enjoying new Bowie albums. No other artist has had such a huge affect on my life. Hours, Heathen and Reality are all an artist at the top of his creativity. Do yourself a favour and get them now.

I really did'nt like the Bigger Bang version of the song. It sounded clunky and boring. Micks' costume too was absolutely silly. The feathery red hat and coat. The licks version was great though. Much more straight forward and exciting. The ultimate is the 1969 Altamont funky version. I always think it sounds sort of reggae at the start.
