There's only one song, and Adam and Eve wrote it. We just do the variations… Hey, give thanks and praise, wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever you are.

Does anyone know of a downloadable version of this live? There was one on YouSendit at one time but it seems to have disappeared now.

Just got home. I thought Sunday was great, but this was amazing. Keith in particular so obviously enjoying himself (and the sound system let me hear him tonight). Running across the stage to do a solo crouched down right out on the end of the runway, hitting the openings on JJF and PIB just right, didn't seem to want to stop at the end of a l-o-n-g Satisfaction (the fireworks went off i

In a country that's obsessed with history and heritage, it's sort of wonderful that nobody has managed to shut the Stones up in a museum (or even tried as far as I know). Long may they continue to evade the glass cases and learned labels and the whole "Stones Experience" charade!

So far complaints have come from West Stand (where I was) and compliments from East Stand. People who haven't got a ticket yet, take note.

I also found the sound "muddly" but I'd blamed it on where I was sitting. Really annoying when everyone here is raving about how good the guitars were and I was having trouble sorting them out of the mix (although I could see and hear how hard Woody was working). Never mind. Still wouldn't have missed it for anything. Roll on Tuesday when I am sitting lower down on the

Packed to the roof. And don't believe the rubbish in the Daily Mail about the audience being all pensioners - there were all ages and lots and lots of 20 somethings.

Depends whether you think it's disgraceful that a 57-year-old Twickenham resident and lifelong Stones fan has never before made it to a live gig! Anyway it won't be my last as I am also going Tuesday. Stadium pretty nearly sold out as far as I could see - I was high up in the West stand near the stage which meant I had a rather off-to-one-side view and also rather off-to-one-side so

By the way, they've now started on building the stage at Twickenham - lots of extra mobile cranes among the regular South Stand ones, and recognisable bits of the set being put together ...

The nearest stations to the Rugby Ground are (British Rail) Twickenham or Whitton (both about 20 mins walk). Twickenham isn't on the Underground - you'd have to get from Ealing Common to Richmond and then change. If you plan to come by public transport you might do better to try areas that are on the same British Rail lines as Twickenham/Whitton - line runs out of Waterloo through

Physically, there's not much left. Above link shows the Station Hotel when it had become the Bull & Bush - unfortunately the new owners have repainted it and obliterated the sign that used to be over the door giving some of its history. The "back room" where the Crawdaddy happened I think no longer exists. The Island Hotel burned down some time in the 70's (coi

Well, the present day Eel Pie Club attracts a lot of people from that generation and I think someone there is researching for a history of Eel Pie Island and the music scene there in the 60's (don't know how far they've got yet). Last night I was certainly talking to a bloke who said he used to go to see "all those guys" on the Island. We were listening to Art Wood&#

Can't place the exact quote, but when Keith was asked for the nth time about the Golden Age in the Stones' past, he said something like: Well, we'll never be there again. But that doesn't mean we won't be somewhere else... I for one am very happy for the Stones to carry on finding out where "somewhere else" is for as long as they like.

It's a close call, but much as I love the recent stuff it's the early morning of their career that still reminds me most of why I love this band. Probably a BIG nostalgia factor involved (I had the undeserved good luck to be 13, in Richmond, in 1963) but there's not a lot I can do about that.
