Anyone have any tabs and/or chords for it? I looked, but found nothing useful.

Does anyone know why they skipped this song during the european leg? Would have been great on the B-stage

They definitely need to bring this song back. Rain Fall Down is pretty good, but this one is much better.

I agree. Take out Rain Fall Down and bring back Back of My Hand. Your right Harm. It would be sweet on the B-Stage. What would be really cool, but I doubt would happen is if Mick does his typical slide guitar through part of the song, then he took it off or left it on and blew on the harp. I really love the harmonica in that song. Hey...a guy can dream. Ha Ha

Maybe the highlight of the shows I saw at the beginning of the tour. Very different but great live with three guitars and bass and drums. Can't understand why they dropped and now have no blues songs in their set.

Rain Fall Down pretty good ?
I don't agree. I rather have SOL and Back of my Hand.

I am really disapointed that the 3 euroshows I saw were without Sway, but I did not regret not having heard RFD a single second.

But that's personal taste.

I would love if they play Back of my Hand in Glasgow but sadly as they did not play it in London I dont think it will happen.

Would be Happy if they drop Rough Justice.

Agree 100%. Also the highlight of the shows I saw at the beginning of the tour. It sent shivers down my spine. I really miss it at recent shows. Night Time Is The Right is no substitute, it is too Las Vegas for me. Back Of My Hand is the real thing - bluuuuuuuues.

Does anyone know of a downloadable version of this live? There was one on YouSendit at one time but it seems to have disappeared now.

This song is played in the key of G I reckon, on an open g tuning and with a slide (of course).

It's bascically a vamp/jam in G. Try the 5th fret then 2nd and 3rd to get the main riff, follwed by open strings then 12th fret for the slide to get the opening riff. It's quite similar to Rooster when it's played live (also in the key of G). We play the Rooster live but not BOMH - yet!

I hope that helps!

(It's easier to play it than to explain it!)

Makes sense, actually. I could probably figure it out. Are both guitars in open G? Are they 5 stringers?

Just listen to the song and get in the groove. What the fcuk do you need tabs or chords for if you're playing Blues or Rock n Roll? It comes from the heart. If you can't pick it up by ear you should put it down and walk away. Sorry to be so harsh.

I learnt to play a guitar by ear, sure somebody showed me a few chords but that was it.

Good question. I can play this on 6 string open g and 5 string. I'm not sure that it makes any difference (especially as the top two strings on my guitar are tuned to G).

My guess would be that the other guitar is in standard tuning....but it's just a guess.

I hope you can work it out now LMN!

I agree with you NickB, as I taught myself to play guitar. I do remember however that when I saw some tab for a song, it taught me a little more about how to play the guitar better.

I think if you want to play guitar you need a little knowledge as well as a lot of inspiration........JMO.

Yeah, THAT was a revelation to me! It took me a while before I could play the Stones songs well, even after I discovered the tuning(s). It was a few years later before I formed a band though, to make use of that knowledge,

I don't have any tickets for Sheffield, and cash is a bit short after my trip to Twickenham. Ho hum.

You need to get paid as a band. We're just getting paid now and it's great.

We played a jam night last night and we blew the house band away... they said to us they were scared of following us. I think we got an early Stones attitude.... fcuk em

No comment on tabs or chords, but Aug '05, weeks prior to ABB's release, before 4/4ths at least of the audience had HEARD anything from the new album, the Stones played 4 new songs plus one of 2 unrecorded covers. They went over great. Now on this leg they once have done 5, more typically 3, and one night in London only 2 from ABB. Are they simply underestimating the audience's ability to enjoy the new material? The sales of ABB could not have been hurt by a regular 5 - or 6 - tracks per night! And no need to drop RFD, RJ, or anything - just get back on this marvelous blues that sounded great first time they played it!

We do get paid as a band - our earnings are going up all the time and we choose which gigs we do. It's not unusual for us to be offered 2 or 3 gigs a every week (I've had 2 gig offers today), from different parts of the country.

I know what you mean by the fear of the house band though, when we used to play the jam nights they would always put us on last to close the evening. Stones music is great to dance to, so we were ideal for the last spot.

Thinking back to opening night in Boston BOMH was the highlight of the show. In fact had it not been for that I would have been disappointed slightly in the show.
