yeah Let It Loose sounds like it was "close" to being the rare song played during the filming...pity they went for Dead Flowers instead (safer as was mentioned before - easy to play). LIL would have been brilliant with Jagger sitting alone on a stool....or even on piano!

I have read that Bear (from the Dead) was on the soundboard that day, there's also credits at the end of the GS movie about a 10 track (could be 12) soundboard recording by the Stones (A. Johns?)...i think there's no doubt a complete soundboard recording exists as they must have for the film (which you have with SFTD, SFM, UMT & GS). Incidently GS can be heard in complete soundboar

the 78 versions were too tinny for my ears....Wood does a good job of a "Taylor" song. LIV was MT's moment when the band played it.

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 Well Eleanor Rigby, this thread right here could tie into that other one about the "Vault" too. The Auburn 69 show, or Denver 72 would make some awesome addition to Stones' world. correct !

OK, reading one of the great magazines of the Stones, i focussed in on the classic Stones pic from Auburn 1969...when Keith is playing the final chords of Street Fighting Man...classic. Anyway, was looking at the crowd and thought - wow, this guy has a microphone in his hand!!!! Now, Auburn 1969 is one of the most elusive shows from the Tour - we have never heard of this show even in taping ci

Stray Cat Blues: "The acetate like GYYYO uses the musical source from Baltimore 11/26/69, with an overdubbed vocal." I am not convinced here. I greatly respect Chris M's brilliant work but i cannot see this ? Am I deaf ?

mmmm...ok...great clip, but how long does this footage go for ? Amazing footage it is, but it could be an amazing gem if it consists of some complete songs..? btw - top filming whoever did it !! Great snaps of Keith & MT doing their stuff.. btw - this should stay on page 1 of this forum.

use the new Stones altamont tape that recently surfaced. The one with this "bootleg" sounds slow and is certainly worse than what you can get.

yes - post of the year so far... Love that stinging vibrato... Jagger would have been impressed by that effort. great stuff - thanks

some people have first impressions of an artist (dont like their voice, the way they dance etc..) and don't bother listening to all their music. I didn't like Bruce too much at first but I listened to more of his music and quite enjoyed what i heard....he's very good but maybe slightly over-rated. Mind you, if he sung a duet with Mick or Keith some people on this board would st

QuoteMathijs QuoteLieB Haha, great moments! Indeed funny, but I'm not sure it's Taylor Keith is yelling at; it could be Jagger. If it's Taylor I suppose he's complaining about his guitar noodling. Keith clearly yells at Taylor, in response to his noodling. He then urges taylor with his body to play allong on the "1". Mathijs yes! always found this interestin

yeah you'd think if he/she was taping the pre-acts, they would be definately taping the Stones set !! Or it could be the same taper who moved close to the stage when the Stones came on....??

audience only. This tape seems different to the common Stones tape....agree anyone? Unless the taper was taping in a different location...?

went and saw it with the wife and even she said she expected more....should have taken her to the half-priced night ! I thought it was OK but not as good as it should have been...but in saying that the band is way past their peak so it was probably a silly idea anyway...

so do you think the common tape of this show is a combination of these 2 tapers from the front rows ??? OR from only one of the sources ?? that's what I'm getting at. I find it strange that this source would be a combination of the 2 tapers... could there be 2 tapes of this show ?

the only way around this is for people to give-away "new" releases of shows (with artwork) just like the so-called bootleg labels do but without charging ! Some people can't download shows from the net and rely on simply paying a bootlegger $$$ and get it posted in the mail. That's how they live these days (the bootleggers) - relying on people to keep paying for cds. If

QuoteMathijs One of the top three songs of probably the best ever gig by the post-72 Stones. Hampton is just absolutely fabulous, and Shattered, Imagination, Beast of Burden, Waiting on a Friend and let it Bleed are absolute best versions ever. This was when they still ruled the world as greatest band in the world, instead of biggest & most grossing Las Vegas act.... And whomever think

nothing is free these days...if someone has an unsurfaced tape, he/she would be in a pretty good bargaining position. I suppose some people are waiting for the right time to "sell" their recordings...and probably the best time is when the band finally hangs up the boots.. Plus, if they want to get it burnt correctly (pressed) with artwork they expect at least that cost & more in

JJF is also much clearer on this tape....you can now hear some Mick Taylor trills (faintly, if you listen closely) in the last verse of JJF and during the end of the song. This song is heavy Keith on all sources...
