My deepest sympathy for what your country is enduring, so many people killed, all that wildlife destroyed... It is a nightmare.

Yeah Rockman talked about this on the Winter thread. Terrible,terrible stuff. The comment made by the Australian PM, "Hell and all it's fury,have descended upon the people of Victoria" is really chilling. Best wishes to everyone down there.

So much terrible news coming from Down under. This must be one of the worst tragedies in Australia.

They say this is the worst fire ever in Australia - something like 180 dead or something.... ROCKMAN, check in mate, we're thinking about you (it's 9am in LA so he's probably still sleeping), hope all is well.... horrible news footage coming out of there....Hope the authorities get a handle on it quickly.....

I'm fine Helter...but so many lives lost, some in their homes others
burnt alive in their cars trying to escape...Somewhere like 700-800 homes
gone.....AND spare a thought for the ones in hospitals with massive burns still fighting for their lives....

Some areas are now crime scenes as police investigate if fires deliberately lit...

It's terrible news from Victoria. Those who deliberately set fire to bushes ought to be put on trial for mass murder, like your prime minister says.
I hope you and your family are ok, and that the firefighters manage to take out the fires.
Very sad indeed to see reports in the news about people having lost their kids. And their homes. They've lost everything. Wish there was something I could do to help, but on the other side of the world there's not much I can do, except hope that people and wildlife will be safe.

Just saw it on the TV news. It's horrible. Thoughts and prayers to all of the victims.

Cal and it's a nightmare.... should take those f*cking arsonists, hook em' up to a fire truck, and drag them down a paved road - sick, destructive bastards deserve the same pain they inflict + more...... The PM really was emotional on TV, when he reacted on the fact some fires seemed to have been deliberately started. Seeing the horror and despair in the peoples eyes really sent chills down my spine.
