The Best of 1969 Tour...cleaning up my collection

Hi all,

I'm sure alot of people on this board have been collecting Stones bootlegs for many years. Over the years better tapes have surfaced of shows and in our endless efforts to have everything we are left with 2,3,4 or even 5+ versions of the same show in our catalogue.

OK, in order for me to clean my collection up, I'm starting with 1969 US Tour.

I'm interested to know of what source is the best for each show of the Tour (if there's a website that has this info I apologise).

Any help would be much appreciated:

7th November: Fort Collins, Colorado, State University
8th November: Los Angeles, California, Inglewood Forum (1st show)
8th November: Los Angeles, California, Inglewood Forum (2nd show)
9th November: Oakland, California, Alameda Co. Coliseum (1st show)
9th November: Oakland, California, Alameda Co. Coliseum (2nd show)
10th November: San Diego, California, Sports Arena
11th November: Phoenix, Arizona, Coliseum
13th November: Dallas, Texas, Moody Coliseum
14th November: Auburn, Alabama, University Memorial Coliseum (1st show)
14th November: Auburn, Alabama, University Memorial Coliseum (2nd show)

16th November: Chicago, Illinois, International Amphitheater (2nd show)
24th November: Detroit, Michigan, Olympia Stadium
25th November: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Spectrum Sports Arena
26th November: Baltimore, Maryland, Civic Center
27th November: New York City, Madison Square Garden
28th November: New York City, Madison Square Garden (1st show)
28th November: New York City, Madison Square Garden (2nd show)

29th November: Boston, Massachusetts, Boston Garden (2nd show)
30th November: West Palm Beach, Florida, International Raceway, 'Miami Pop Festival'

thanks

E.R. this is interesting for me as well. I just think we will receive more replies if you'll re-post it in the Hot Stuff section. I will give my contribution.

This would be such a great multiple-thread project. Kind of like the ratbag boogie index; where each tour was discussed and compiled with the over all results of IORR"s choices for best boots from each tour.
I am not here near enough or regularly to do it, but just thinking...

It's strange that the 69 tour is represented SO MUCH BETTER than the 70 tour. It must have to do with the fact the original bootleggers were in the USA. When I look at the shows from the 69 tour I notice just how many of them are to be found in overall pretty good quality.
Oakland and San Diego, Baltimore and NYC have been known as top boots for a long time. Detroit was immortalized in Jagger's quote "We never really got it on till Detroit". The performance is good; the boot is okay.
The 69 show that is my recent favorite is Boston 69.
And Altamont will always be a mystery to me: how they performed so well under those terrible circumstances.
