There is a good soundboard of Sympathy For The Devil available (not complete). So...they are out there somewhere.

Quoterollmops Quotekeefgotsoul I don't think it is Clapton. Maybe Marshall Chess. I looked up pictures of Clapton in 1971 and he looked different than there. May be I am wrong. Marshall Chess is a good guess...looks a bit like him. Definitely not Slow Hand

QuoteSilver Dagger Question - has there ever been a great live version of Rocks Off? I don't believe there has but hoping to hear otherwise. Yep, Perth 1973

I find it interesting Keith will chop and change guitars for songs throughout the tour...

What a legend... That is arguably the greatest guitar work ever..under the circumstances And what a performance after the death of M. Hunter You can only imagine the work getting back to the stage that someone was dead! Keith amazingly great.

It's a pity she didn't sing with the Stones at the Enmore in 2003...which was rumoured to happen

QuoteTaylor1 Too bad Altamount as well as other live shows from1967-1975 can’t be released officially in great sound. True...however the soundboard of the Altamont show(s) exist...only a matter of time before an unofficial release gets out

QuoteMathijs QuoteEleanor Rigby So the SG is still "missing"... Thanks again to our Geir Hornes, and thanks for Robin Millar to reply -Taylor's Gibson SG was mended by a luthier who installed (a new) truss rod to improve tunning stability. The guitar was so neck heavy after the repair it was unplayable. Millar does not remember anymore what happened to the guitar of where it went

I think it comes down to Jagger in particular, really fired up and was engrossed in the whole vibe of the day

These have to be the most intense versions on the tour! Listening to the MSG versions of both songs and they are reasonably placid, at Altamont they explode! In particular Stray Cat... Jagger was immense...I guess the occasion lifted him...and the group. At Altamont during Stray Cat even Keith gets into it with his chopping chords...it's amazing stuff. The Band was certainly on fire...

QuoteMathijs QuoteEleanor Rigby Would love to see the DA show up one day...I'm guessing serial numbers are unknown? It's even unknown if Keith's DA had a serial number. The first 20 or so guitars were prototype models with a white resin pickup fitted. These guitars were given to musicians and also used for display at guitar fares, and most likely did not have a serial number.

I believe the MT 1958 LP he played with 1969-72 is at the Hard Rock Cafe Have we ever located Keith's Dan Armstrong 1969 guitar? Or is that forever gone ...? It's funny how Taylor, in particular doesn't give. F...

Have always wondered how the great man could muck up the start of this in Perth. Must have been having an off moment. If we had footage, it would have been interesting to see Jagger and Keith trying to get him in the beat. The only time ever he missed a beat. The song turned out to be arguably their best rendition !

RW was awesome with the Faces..dropped off technically with the Stones..maybe too drunk/too comfortable/less responsibility were the reasons. His Faces efforts were top class

Is it copywrite the reason why the band doesn't just start releasing everything? Or just thinking it's a waste of time and no one cares?
