Quotelenchik QuoteEleanor Rigby "Love in Vain' is possible as it is around the right period of the show. THat's "love in Vain" for sure. I've already tried audio and it matched pefectly. Now if anyone could identify the song that starts at 15:04 mark... Please share your synced sound. Yeah - Stray Cat is my guess also...Taylor seems to be playing a heavy so

Quotelenchik QuoteEleanor Rigby Anyone have an idea what songs are being played for the Stones section? I'm thinking the film starts around the end of Sympathy. We "seem" to get The Sun Is Shining and Stray Cat Blues. But the footage chops and changes a bit which is weird. Feels like Under My Thumb is in there also. The first 30 seconds are “Love in vain”, we see MT playing

QuoteHonestman QuoteEleanor Rigby Burrito Bros footage is sensational! Yes and I didn't knew like some of you that Mick and Keith were backstage during Gram's set. Hey Honestman - great job on brightening the Stones pics! I can't believe how dark it is in the new footage. Some other altamont footage I have seen (not out of GS movie) is much brighter....even amateur foot

QuotePaddy QuoteEleanor Rigby QuoteDoxa So, according to the Angel interviewed there, Hunter tried two times to get on the stage (like so many other people during the day and night thay kept the Angels busy), with no success due to once again great security job by the Angels to protect the stage. He got angry, went to his car to get his gun, came back, and then the Angels took care of him. Yep

Great thread. Rickenbackers were hugely popular during the mid 60s. But they were best suited to the jangly sounds ala The Byrds etc.. Great guitars though. Probably Stones thought they wanted different sounds

QuoteChrisM42 Please Note: I have modified my thinking on Stray Cat Blues and Baltimore based on a recording that became available after my work listening to the music and transcribing the vocals to place the sources based on audience recordings. So, Stray Cat Blues is: MSG 11/28/69 1st Show by process of elimination. Thanks as always for the feedback, Chris M. You do a great job!

Quote24FPS He played for John Mayall. Then he played with the Stones for five years. During that time he was quieter than Bill Wyman. He had drug problems. The end. And made a bigger mark on the band than a guitarist who has been in the band for 40+ years...think that is pretty impressive

Quotejohnypar QuoteEleanor Rigby Quotegavin95 the new fast talking, slow talking is fantastic Have you listened to the original? I did, and I agree with you. I love the original, but this new version sounds like karaoke or those awful tv singing shows, just painful to listen. And it's not only Jagger singing, my impression is that nothing remained from the original outtake. Precisely, ho
