QuoteCousinC Musically great gig.I'd love to hear it. Why only part of recordings? Was this tape stolen? Owsley/ Bear was the G. Deads sound man. But they didn't play. How came he recorded the Stones? Bear was in charge of the sound system that day...for all bands.

Quoteerikjjf Could ”Come To The Ball” be a new title for ”Gangster’s Moll”? If so, probably from the same sessions as ”Trouble’s A Coming”. Compass Point early 1979. You know...that might be the case, with new Jagger lyrics...oh dear...

And I hear Taylor...interesting. Original and (relatively) new vocals? Ronnie plays the solo right before Taylor's. Yes - that solo sounds overdubbed. Need to listen more if vocals ha

Since I started this thread I feel that I might have been a bit harsh saying nothing past 1976, although I still prefer the Hyde Park 1969 first live airing of M Rambler, I love this raw dirty rendering despite the out of tune guitar that plagued this show, there’s something about it that draws me back to it time & time again. It had been remade & remodelled only a few months later by

QuoteEddieByword QuoteDandelionPowderman I don't think anyone in their right mind would call this "sounding tired" This 'competition' is all BS. I was there, 30 yards from the stage)....anyone who thinks the Stones were 'tired' or 2nd fiddle to LS are deluded. (Including members of LS) Yes, LS were amazing, no doubt but the Stones are in a class

QuoteDandelionPowderman "They're slacking off slightly, I like their older music best..." Funny isnt it? Just goes to show the band was perceived as being "past it" by some in 1973... I know some fans who only enjoy the 60's Stones

QuoteErik_Snow QuoteEleanor Rigby All Down The Line is my best moment...that music snippet is incredible...if only... The rest is extremely boring Yes, that snippet, it could had been the whole movie, I'd still go to the cinema just for that 1 minute Haha...maybe..but i might fall asleep and miss it. It is pure rock n roll...imagine a full concert like that...puts L&G to shame
