I just listened to all the pre-Stones acts from the show and I reckon the only group that comes across ok are the Flying Burrito Bros...
Santana seems alright but pretty boring and dont want to be there.
Crosby SN - terrible
Jefferson A - also terrible....mind you Angels punching their singer out wouldn't have helped.
but the FBB dont miss a beat (or a chord)...great performance...only to be out-done by the Stones....just.
Also just finished the Sam Cutler book "YCAGWUW"...good read.
