Of course, he'd continue to hang his voodoo charms from his hair. And, certainly, he has more than that very great singer Sinatra did.

That darned Scorcese. When the band did "Back of My Hand" at the Hollywood Bowl it was a work of art. Keep in mind re the DVD it's the editors who really have the imagination and artistry to make it great, and I'm sure Mick and Keith will have worthwhile input.

I once had a first edition "Beggar's Banquet" LP signed by the entire band including Brian. Can you believe I was stupid enough to give this to my younger sister, now a very tightfisted woman? May I have my reward on earth, please?

Should we buy Keith just the right trenchcoat a la Sinatra? I envision Keith's version of "One For My Baby and One More For the Road. Followed by removal of trenchcoat (a cool Keithie outfit underneath, of course) for a super up-temp0 "Come Fly With Me" so that Little Queenie will have an opportunity to shake her tailfeathers.

How about Royal Albert Hall in London, which holds 5,000 people or so. Gorgeous place, fine accoustics and Stones might give us a special rate if we let them do another DVD there.

Guess "The Source" was so excited to be singled out that he/she didn't think to let us know how the show went.

Jagger50 expresses it magnificently. How about 24 hours of NO Stones-bashing or free advice for them?

Good thoughts, CindyC. And actually any of us giving the Rolling Stones advice is like others telling us what to do. Pointless. Fact is anyone of any age who tours for a year and a half around the world is going to have off nights and physical problems. Touring is an artificial world, no matter how much luxury may come with it if you're a major band. Changes of climate, crazy hour

Done with mirrors previously? NOT to this degree. Perhaps I'm wrong but I never recall the fans subjected to some of the stuff they went through at the Beacon, being asked to leave etc. There's no doubt that StonesDoug tried to really help his people and it didn't quite work in the end. I imagine there'll be no mention of this stuff in the DVD. Assume the audience will

One of the things that me and other Kinks fans have appreciated is Ray's "Englishness". Waterloo Sunset etc. He'a wonderful writer with a better mind (!) than Brian Wilson. Which is not to say that Wilson hasn't written some great songs.

Michael Cohl is respected as a hardworking, knowledgable, talented promoter who has done a great job for the Stones. He's perhaps overextended himself on this latest American situation. I and a number of my friends have worked with top bands in high level positions in the American record and concert areas. And many of us and our colleagues have talked about the last few gigs, wondering

Yes, losing time, anticipation and money for airfares, travel and hotel expenses is a drag. I know; I've had it happen. Still, anyone who can come up with the dough surely has to know that there are no guarantees in life or with a touring band. The cold night air of recent Stones gigs hasn't been a plus for the lead singer's voice. Then there's Keith shaking with cold

Ain't Scorcese trying a little too hard with his demographics? Tony Bennett is an artist. Christina's a slut for the "young crowd" who don't know who the Stones are and don't care. And why should they? Jack White fits another slot in the demographics. Sometimes Mick needs to re-think and "just say no."

Yes, it's annoying that the Stones are human and that things out of personal control oftne happen. I was very sorry that Spain didn't have their Stones shows. Know how costly and disappointing it was. I was one of those who had a ticket for the cancelled Paris gig on June 3. However, I fully expect those shows in Spain to happen next year and I will be saving up to see them t

Friend of mine just told me Craigslist (NOW don't go running there) has some clown offering an "ALL ACCESS PASS" for the Beacon to the highest bidder. Boy would it get ugly in a venue as small as the Beacon if someone "completely unknown" showed up backstage with that pass.

Little Queenie, it's risky the way the id's have been set up at the Beacon. Isn't there someone on this board who is tight with Doug at the Shidoobee board and could intercede for LQ? At least get her in on November 1? We know the Stones like her dancing. And they'll need to see a pretty face after all that time with old Hillary

Thanks for posting! Dylan really lays it on the line about fame. I've been around famous people most of my life and I couldn't agree more about what he says. I was always grateful to not be the one who was being gawked at, whispered about and as, he says, you could be "famous" for the most nowhere reasons and you're still practically treated like a great. I thou

Even the attention-crazed Clintons will probably figure out they'd better not talk too long before the music begins. Re Angelina Jolie etc, promise me all of you lucky Beacon ticket holders that you will not agree to go to Africa and adopt children. Feel free to dance in the aisles and don't let anyone stop you!

In 1970 Buddy Guy and Junior Wells opened for the Stones on their European tour. They were both great, of course. And yets "a few"years rolled by and three or four years ago I saw Buddy in Seattle and was a little disappointed to see that with success he'd lost a little fire, at least at this show. But I have a feeling you lucky guys with the tickets will be impressed with B

Fine bass playing is an art. I recall that Hendrix used to get so frustrated when he was in the studio in the late Sixties and Noel just wasn't giving it his all. JH would wait until he was gone and do some (but not all) bass parts over. Macca was great for the Beatles but golly I miss Wyman's bass with the Stones. It was so much part of the Stones sound on some of their best song

Barking Paul so kindly pointed out in another thread that YouTube has a 1967 video of the Stones doing "Let's Spend The Night Together." Well, kids, this is what they were really like then. They blew our little minds. They were "rough enough...tough enough." And, man, imagine a song with THAT title. How daring they were. And CindyC, in this video you will see th

This thread is too much! Love the Ali stories especially the Joe Louis reference etc. Tony Curtis story was another hilarious moment in "Brushes" Also the Ian Anderson tale. Cindy C's kid sounds wonderful. Obviously destined for greatness. Does he have some favorite Stones songs? How does he handle some of those lyrics?

Well Cindy C. he isn't Keith but I know Bill and I would call him interesting and fairly sweet. Charismatic and sexy may be overdoing it a bit But his memory of Stones stuff is quite fascinating, and he's essentially a down to earth guy.

Thanks CindyC for more international signs. Hope the best one is yet to come - your international sign for "Got into the Beacon." Hope it's for the 31st. You stay away from Bill Clinton on the 29th.
