Joe Jagger and his two sons, Mick and Chris, were very close.

Not a matter of sticking my head in the sand. The FACTS are that Mick's father had a bad fall and is ill and that Mick flew in to see him. Everything else is pure speculation. The Sun's sources for accurate details are dubious. Close friends of the Jagger family do not speak to The Sun.

The Sun is a tabloid, headlines and text written to lure readers. They are quite frequently wrong...thus the frequent lawsuits filed against them.

The Stones are still a great band. Would some of you doubters like them much more if the ticket prices were cheaper?

How 'bout "Highway 61" and "Maggie's Farm" as great examples of fok moving in a pop/rock direction? In the Sixties those two songs plus, of course, and most importantly then "Like a Rolling Stone" really grabbed teenage minds. "Wow! Haven't heard anything like this on the radio before."

Bill has the true Stones sound, and I miss it on ABB. But it is really how Bill and Charlie play together that creates the engine.

Rockman, Love the group photo of Stones chicks. Little Queenie must have been round the corner dancing to the jukebox.

You're right. If we ever have any money again, we could go shopping Chuck's way. Love those frequent mentions of Ralph Lauren. Puh-lese.

I think BEING CHUCK would be quite amusing to see. Sub title LIVING THE GOOD LIFE If it were filmed in his writing style we would catch teensie glances of his employers but many scenes featuring waitresses, salesclerks, asskissing and environmental speeches and, of course, few insights into any kind of music, Stones or otherwise. To be fair, perhaps this website is really aimed more at h

Yes, Chuck's blog is a major ego trip. And the description on his home page of his talent as a musician is rather over the top.

Basically on a good night Aretha could blow away any of the ladies thus far mentioned. She is a force of nature. Tina was certainly influential on many young singers and gave "Proud Mary" new life. No one's mentioned Linda Rondstadt who was once a "hottie." Horrible word. Annie Lennox is amazing. Really the best at this time. Also if Mary J. Blige chose to sa

I agree that Rod is very popular in the US particularly because his women fans are very loyal. But I find it hard to compare Rod and his band to the Stones for the majority of the music audience today. I don't see Rod's people being able to make deals playing numerous American stadiums at the kind of ticket price asked for the Stones. In the UK, as I mentioned previously, he

Rod's got a LOT of loyal fans in the entire UK. If the price is fair he'll do well, even though his voice ain't what it used to be. His audiences love to sing "Sailing" for him. What's he gonna do about the middle-aged fans? Oh dear. What a dilemma! Maybe Scorcese can help him out with a bevy of mindless models for the front rows.

There's a full moon, the weather turned out to be good. I vote for Tod attending the Stones gig. The alternative would be to stay home and listen to Sinatra but I think Tod needs to rock!

The Stones really put out at The Forum in Los Angeles. a venue where they feel very comfortable and havee played some of their best shows. 20,000 seats. All of us contributors could have the best seats on the floor. I'm still pushing Royal Albert Hall for the UK/European gig With Wyman on bass.

I don't really want to diss Greenfield who wrote the Bill Graham book which I thought was very well done. Very simply, I was surprised by this book being more distorted and tabloidy than reality. My attitude towards those times is that when I was a guest in someone's home I didn't and don't feel I have the right to make private conversations public. As for the rev

Read the Bloomberg.com review; it says it all, Glass Slide. We all have our own opinions but I was at Nellcote and around the Stones at that time and some of the sources Greenfield quoted are very, very dubious. Some of the stuff re Anita simply was not accurate.

I think StonesTod is on the right track. Remember when Keith sang "The Nearness of You." He appreciates a good balland. Frank Sinatra was a very big deal in England when Keith and all the other pop/rock stars were growing up. They heard Sinatra records at home etc. Keith isn't the only one who respected Frank Sinatra but there's little doubt that he does. After

What a great combo -- Donovan and Arthur Brown. I was thinking about Donovan when I saw the Stones last fall at Hollywood Bowl. Donovan gave quite a "groovy" concert at the Bowl whenever it was that "Mellow Yellow" was big. I remember all us kids had serious dicussions about whether we should buy many bunches of bananas and see if we'd get high. The Stones soo
