Nah... someone just bought him a leather suit and a guitar. By then Hendrix, Stones, Doors and yes.... The Four Headed Monster From Liverpool dominated the market.... Elvis was outdated by 1968 and was just heading for Vegas... Biggest PR stunt of the last century, all categories counted, even Coca Cola

I do put on the telly maybe once a week, just to see if the weather girl is stunning looking or not. If they have sports on there, I shut down the telly faster than the Rocks Off beat....

Did ya know. Elvis was the greatest PR stunt ever. Imagine, 100 million or so people think that Elvis had something to do with rock music.... huhhh. he did not do anything to develope rock music, he just sang other peoples songs.... There is only one king of rock and that is mr Chuck Berry (well copying Mr Elmor James that is....) But Elvis..... huhhu, fat joke of the 70's

But Baboon Bro, mind you that they still are the greatest rock band on earth. No band ever can top a Stones show. It's just not a gig, it's an experiance. You cannot go to rest without seeing a Stones gig. It is an experiance. I have only seen 17 gigs and I am desperate for more. had tickets for Horsens and Göteborg but ya all know what happened to those gigs.. Now working on tickets fo

No, they can not go on the road without Keith. Who would then do the Satisfaction intro, or the Honky Tonk Women intro, or the JJF intro or the Start Me Up Intro or the Brown Sugar intro?? Blondie?? Hmmmmmmm

Baboon Bro just got it right. The Stones do not care about fans. They just care about dollars. In Europe we mostly use euros and that do not count in the eyes of the Stones management, they are only after dollars, so they play much more in the States as they get only dollars then. When did the Stones last time open a world tour in Europe? Hmm, may have been in the 60's only. What more do yo

Depends on why you collect vinyls. If you collect only the music / songs, then there is no point in getting them. If you are a completist and needs all different elpees on Decca, then you should get them. If you are into vinyls as an investment, then there is not much to gain either. Maybe the first ones like Stone Age, Rock'n Rolling Stones, Gimme Shelter and No Stone Unturned should be pic

Hej Baboon Bro, glad you know about Hurriganes. They are the biggest and best (and only) rock band that ever was around in Finland. All the rest is totally crap in Finland. I hate the Finnish music scene. Well, I have to give credit to Wentus Blues band, they do a lot of touring with an englisch guy who used to play in an English band in the 70's. Taylor I think is his name or something. All

The US stage will probably be used in Europe as well during this summer. Personally I did not really like the set at all. Well, when the show was in full speed and if a dark evening, the the light show was a ok. My personal "best stage" was the cobra. Half way out on the field you could really feel the heat from the cobra fire I have 17 gigs on my list at this moment and a view fro

I have been collecting them elpees for about 20 years. For some 19 and a half I have only been running in record shops in Finland, Sweden, UK, India and so on. I have for the past 3-4 years been surfing on e-bay without getting myself registered. But as I by now have almost everything on UK DECCA and I do not find anything new in the shops, then my only option was to get myself registered on e-ba

I am also a big fan of the Blues Stones. Would be nice if they would put out a pure blues record with own stuff and great covers, but as we all know that will never happen. So I'm planning to put together a CD of my own with pure Blues Songs
