Watch them play Happy, and you'll understand - it's the hottest piece of rock on screen I've ever seen.

You can buy L&G on DVD here - . Beware, the "Video Format" is "NTSC", not "PAL": Q. What means NTSC and PAL in the Video Format section for the DVDs? A. NTSC and PAL are 2 different types of video formats. NTSC are playable in almost any american DVD players and PAL are playable in Europe DVD players. But that doesnt mean that if you live in america that

I've always loved the Hyde Park concert, perhaps especially Keith's guitar on I'm yours and I'm hers - that's rock!

Led Zeppelin is a great, great band - but no one comes near The Stones. Listen to The Stones' best live bootlegs, and you know that no one else has played rock as good as this.

No Security surely is underrated, especially the excellent Memory Motel with Dave Matthews, that so many seem to hate.

I think Dirty Work is their best studio album since the 70s. My favourites are especially Hold Back and Dirty Work.

The site stonesconcerts.com offered lots of live bootlegs at reasonable prices. Now I can't access it. Is it moved to a new address? Or do you know any similar site?

I think Keith is one of the best rock singers. It's never dull to listen to him, it's always honest feeling there. He's so bloody good!

Get Off Of My Cloud from Got Live If You Want It! Charlie's opening is fantastic, and Mick pushes, pushes & pushes the song through!

Can you tell me about how you wrote Gimme Shelter? Did you realize then that you'd written one of the best songs of all time?

Welcome, neilly43! Hotmail is garbage, skip to e.g. Yahoo! Much more storagecapacity, and a junk filter that works. And they don't delete your old e-mails, like Hotmail did to me.

Yes, db44, but: 1 It may be that we underrate the young bands, but surely this lists underrates the old bands! 2 50-100 years from now, people will still remember The Stones, Tne Beatles, Dylan. But the top names on this list will be forgotten.

I love the version of SFM on Brussels Affair (= Europe '73) - from London, September 9, 1973. The opening is so tough, so hard, and towards the end, Keith & Mick T. just let themselves go. No other band comes close!

Listening to Brussels Affair (BA) (my favourite rock album) made me understand better what makes Ya-Ya's so good. Ya-Ya's can't compete with the energy, the fantastic guitar work on BA. Regarding energy, the charm of Ya-Ya's is the opposite - it's so relaxed, and it swings, while BA is more frenetic. But still, Ya-Ya's oozes of "power". The two top posi

Perhaps my favourite non-Stones rock is Clapton's "Old Love" on the CD "24 nights" (or the DVD version from Hyde Park). Clapton is fantastic, but The Stones' Gimme Shelter in London, Sept. 9, 1973 (i.e. Brussels Affair) is still in another league.

I don't have the book here, but I think I've read that it's only a rumour that Gram wrote the song.
