Gazza, I hope you're right, but I'm sure when the second 'Wembley' show was announced last time, there was no advance notice, it just happened! I'm fairly sure I was reasonably au fait with what was goin

My friends from California desperately wanted to come over to see the Stones in London...but they are flying out to Hawaii for their holidays ... on August 21st! Difficult to imagine worse timing...so near yet so far! Lee

The only advice I would add is that if you want to come to the UK, I would seriously consider the O2 instead of IOW if you are specifically coming to see the Stones. Two reasons: 1. IOW is already sold out so you may have to go down the scalper route. 2. As far as I'm aware it's all-or-nothing, ie it's a 3 day event, you don't have day tickets. Although I suppose if you ha

Getting to the O2 is easy-peasy, piece of cake. There is an underground station right next to it. You won't have to shell out for a place to stay nearby, just find somewhere close to an underground station. Lee

I think I've found the answer to my own question! Wiki do list the final 2 gigs...at the end of August. If I remember correctly, Keef whacked his finger or something, and a few gigs had to be postponed. So by sheer chance I was at Bill's final Stones gig. Lee

Why is my ticket dated July 14th? Is that the time they played 5 gigs at Wemb

My last was Twickenham II. I did seen the last UK show by Led Zeppelin, however. I've got the boots of your two gigs... the audio of the Zep gig and the DVD of Dodger Stadium, the latter mainly because I know some people that were there. Hopefully some of them will be coming over to London this summer - if Stones actually play a gig here. Lee

If it's already sold out, the Stones don't need to play there do they? The reason they have never played Glastonbury is they are too expensive. I'm sure if all the IOW tickets have gone already, the promotors won't have to shell out too much for the final night. If they are playing, I sure hope that's not the only UK gig this year!! Lee

Both are great bands, but if I had to choose one, I'd go for the former....and I only saw Zep a couple of times, as opposed to the 5 or 6 times I've seen the Who, although ad

Anyone here a member of the Who club? Worth joining in your opinion? At $60 it's cheaper than the Stones membership, I suppose... I guess it depends on how much you're into them, but although I'm interested in Wembley Arena, I do have a good seat for the Albert Hall on March 31st, so I'm not that bothered if I don't get a top of the range one.... Well, after banging away again and again and again I managed to grab an arena seat in row 14, so I feel quite lucky! Adrian, did you catch them at the Roundhouse last year? Although I never got to see them with Keith Moon, I'm starting to think Zak is a worthy successor, certainly more suitable than Kenny Jones, for example.I still miss the Ox, though! Lee

The first gig I can remember attending was the Anti-Nazi gig in Victoria Park on 30th April 1978 (OK, I had to look up the date) with the Clash etc. The next one after that was Bob Dylan at Blackbush (July 15 same year). First Stones shows were the two Wembley gigs in 1982. Lee

Never heard DLR's version (whoever they are), but Billy Idol doing this song surely defines a new low in barrel-scraping.

P.S. I guess the best translation for 'tosser' into American would be 'jerk'... I went to a gig at MSG in New York last year, and was asked by the Canadian next to me exactly what 'tosspot' meant. A bit difficult to explain, so I resorted to 'jerk' as the nearest meaning...any Brits know of a precise definition of 'tosspot'?

So that was why the queue at the station was so long! Actually I did see one old biddie pull off her incontinence pants and chuck them at Mick, but I don't think they made it as far as the stage. Remind me again, how many more months until Bill Wyman's birthday? Lee
