There was a truly shocking story in today’s Sun newspaper. The pictures are copyrighted, so click this link. The latest news on the website says the police will be investigating.

My Grandad has diabetes, but that's it as far as my family’s concerned. I myself have a muscular disorder down the right side of my body. It was caused by a brain bleed that occurred shortly after birth. The muscles down my right side are smaller and weaker, I can't move my toes on my right foot and I have a lack of dexterity in my right fingers. The condition isn't curable, but

I'm not a HUGE Dylan fan, but I revisited this album last night and once again, it struck me how brilliant it is. I especially love Don't Think Twice, It's Alright. It's an album full of wonderful acoustic playing, fantastic lyricism and humour.

I LOVE Perth '73. They sound so raw and sloppy. Check out Keith’s vicious riffs on Bitch! Am I right in thinking that Keith was took LSD before this show? It was the only time he's performed on it apparently. Great version of Gimmie Shelter with Mick Taylor using a wah-wah pedal. It's outstanding stuff. I've never really compared it to the European shows that followed. Though,

8320. Re: APACHE
No, but I also remember reading this. I quite like Apache and a few of the other Shadows tunes, but it seemed like they were just reading it all off a chart. They weren’t very rock 'n' roll to say the least. Ronnie disliked them in the day and thought they were totally wrong. (He says as much in his South Bank special from a couple of years ago) but they were the band everyone in Eng

I'm glad no one seems to have taken offence about my comment on Shidoobie being "too American" for me. It wasn't meant as an anti-American slur or anything of a kind. Like Winter, I guess I just prefer the "International" feel that we have here and over at Rocks Off. The latter board is especially great. There are people from the UK, France, Germany, Holland, South A

I just want to thank Gazza for being the ONLY one here to agree with me. I KNOW he toured with The Stones in '75, but as I constantly stated, he wasn't officially unveiled as Mick Taylor’s replacement 'till 1976. You see? That = 30 years!

In which case, he left after the Wembley show in 1990. You CANNOT DENIY THIS THOUGH. HE LEGALLY CEASED TO BE A STONE IN 1993. That is, as you said, when he resigned.

Getting back to what sssoul stated about Ronnie not been a fully fledged member until '93, he's to the extent that he was on a wage 'till that point, but he was still a member. That's why, up until that point, he’s paint when the Stones weren’t touring because he wasn't earning any money from them, but come on! Lets everyone just go along with my initial post, eh? It'

We'll get the same as what the rest of the world got. I'm positive we'll get a few changes, but it won't be anything dramatic. Keith will probably substitute Happy for Before They Make Me Run, we'll get Street Fighting Man etc.

Yes, wonderful post! I'm glad my thread has gotten such a great response. In 5 or 6 years as a poster on Rocks Off and more recently here, this is the FIRST TIME I've seen or participated in a discussion about them. They made some of the most perfect pop songs of the 1960's and I'll tell you what. As much as I like some of those Byrd’s tracks, I really don't se how the

The MSG HBO version of Sympathy For The Devil was pretty dire. Keith MAKES or BREAKS that song. If he's not on form, the whole thing collapses.

It was a bit of a guess. I have the song on Jimi's BBC CD and aside from All Along The Watchtower, it was the only Dylan cover I could think of Hendrix doing. Okay then, what’s my prize?!

I also like Zeppelin quite a bit. I'm curious, in the 70's, in terms of record sales and concert attendences, who was bigger. Zeppelin or The Stones?

Start Me Up. I'm not a huge fan of current renditions of Honky Tonk Woman, Tumbling Dice and Jumpin' Jack Flash either. There are a few actually, but I'll go for Start Me Up. I think it sounds tired beyond belief in all honesty. At least a song like It's Only Rock 'n' Roll is still entertaining with the Chuck Berry licks.
