Covig 19 is the silent enemy that nobody as yet has a cure for. Italy Spain and now Germany have been trying to slow it down by creating a 3 week slow down window but so far that has not worked. I live in the U.K. and most people think that it will be over in next 2/3 weeks. That is absolute tripe as it has just killed another 14 people in the in the UK in the last 2 days.( total 71 ) It i

Many thanks BV for all the time and effort that you have put in to IORR. You must have a close affinity with the Stones sources because the vast majority of forth coming tour information has always been spot on. I did not realise that the site is 40 years old so many happy returns as our favourite band has now been in existance for 58 years.

You are right DandelionPowderman Family & Sweet Lucy were released in 1975 on Metamorphis which centres on outtakes and alternate versions of well-known songs recorded from 1964 to 1970. This release was forced by Alan Klein to fulfil and finish the ongoing lawsuit he had against the Stones. From above it is obvious that there is very little half decent material left that could be used as

Might be difficult for finding quality songs from that era that were almost finished but more lightly left as outtakes. For to add a bonus disc of extra songs from that time would mean Mick & Don Was going through hrs and hrs of tapes and that is most unlikely to happen.O Obvious completed one's are already there which are - Jumpin Jack Flash and Child of the Moon & Memo to Turne

Mick Jagger has stated that he did various vocal harmony overlays on CYHMK as the key was to high for him and he had to hide the fact that he was not hitting the notes well. Keith Richards and Mick Taylor have both said they didn’t plan the long instrumental jam; they had simply kept playing without realizing the tape was still rolling. After hearing the playback, they realized they’d recorded

Channel 5 ran a ten minute discussion and played both songs early yesterday evening. AS one pop critic said Mick is still a revered Icon and mixes with people of all ages and is still seen as being relevant.

Sipuncula talked about people in their teenage years at different points in time would probably be more in tune with Stones songs that they grew up with and he/she has a very valid point. Yes your teenage years are very informative and what was on the sound waves then more than likely formed the basis of what was hip for you from then onwards . I am one of the early Stones fans (1962 onwards)

The biggest attraction that would lead to Glastonbury opening for 2018 has to be Led Zeppelin. Thinking that their reputation is immense and Plant and Page are idolised plus how many people have actually seen them live since 1980.

This type of generalisation about how the Stones new album is progressing has been used before by Don Was and the statement by MelBelli on IORR which read - "Stuff sounds good (I'm told); but quite a bit of work left, and still uncertainty about which direction some of it will go." This sounds like a delaying tactic used by the Stones before when they have allegedly been w

Well Doxa you are quiet right it was only a bunch of old farts that either bought the album Blue & Lonesome or were given it as a Xmas present. The Stones are not really relevant to the younger generation of 14- 18 yr old but earn their respect because they are still selling out concerts. I recall when i was a 15yr spring chicken Stones and Beatlemania was all that teenagers talked about an

Streets of Love has received so much criticism by fans yet when played live in Rome the audience fully participated in singing along with the song. Perhaps its a Latin thing but this song was also popular in South America similar to Angie which went to No1 in America in 1973. Out of Tears and Blinded by Rainbows were other Stones ballad's that many fans did not appreciate or like. Alas n

You lucky beggar Ronnie that you were able to have a full health scan which showed the need for urgent keyhole surgery in your lung. Unfortunately for us lesser mortals who cannot pay Private fees it is often too late before the problem is diagnosed. Long may you continue to enjoy the twins and playing guitar with the Stones.

For all fans in their 50/60s the circle of life is getting closer and closer. This applies even more to 70+ guys performing and we should treat this tour as most likely to be the last one. There are ticket prices available to suit both young people wishing to see and hear the legendary Rolling Stones. As BV has said there are retired people with money in the bank who will pay higher prices for

Growing up in 1962/63 at High School all you heard about was how fab the Beatles were and no one else existed. I never really followed the crowd and liked to make up my own mind and the Beatles singing about She Loves Me and I Want to Hold your hand did not click with myself. First heard Come On and thought it was commercial sugar and I Wanna be Your Man had a bit of a kick to it but nothing sp

Due to exceptional demand the Stones have added a 3rd Paris show. Have been contemplating all week if I should see them live one more time and yes have bought 2 tickets for above plus hotel . A Dirty Work review from 1986 which is quite open and shows good knowledge of the Stones at that stage in their career. By Jon Pareles Rolling Stone Magazine March 24, 1986 Do we ask too much of the Rolling Stones? Here they are with Dirty Work, their umpteenth American album since 1964 — actually their twenty-first, not counting greatest-hits compilations, EPs and live recordings —

David Marchese must have spent a lot of time listening to the 373 Stones songs so that he could present his summation for all to see. He however appears to criticise the vast majority of Stones songs as being inert naïve and lyrically lacking. Beast of Burden being his number 3 choice is ridiculous and for that song to be classified as being superior to SFTD, JJF, Satisfaction, Brown Sugar, Hon

The Rolling Stones recorded Black and Blue while auditioning Mick Taylor's replacement, so it's unfair to criticize it, really, for being longer on grooves and jams than songs, especially since that's what's good about it. Yes, the two songs that are undeniable highlights are "Memory Motel" and "Fool to Cry," the album's two ballads and, therefore, the

What a sad sad day it was when another Iconic Rock & Roll legend reached the promised land but what a legacy he has left behind. He was the original Rock & Roll master with unique mannerisms such as his duck walk plus guitar riffs that hypnotised you and also with lyrics beyond belief. When you find that when songs played live in concert such as - Flip the Switch Out of Control Saint of Me are far better live than on record that in itself makes you wonder about the production sound / mixing that was used for BTB. BTB the album is not a really good album by the Stones and the methods that Mick & Keith used probably explains why. It was said at the time of release

The Stones were working on CYHMK in 1970 as follows - June 16-July 27, 1970: The Rolling Stones continue recording material at Olympic Sound Studios in London that will wind on both Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street, includi
