Mick Taylor great soloist & guitar player left the Stones because of - 1) Substance abuse was taking a heavy toll and to survive he & his wife decided that he must leave the Stones 2) Wished to pursue a new career in song writting and with a more Bluesy style band 3) Ego becoming as big as his extended guitar solos 4) His long guitar solos especially live

There has been recent conflict between an old dog (Billy318124) & JKF. You do not have to be 40, 50 or 60 before you have enough musical knowledge for your opinion to be justified. The Stones are the Stones and anyone & everyone is entitled to enjoy their music & their concerts no matter what age they are. Everbody has an opinion which should be respected & we all will from t

Please no not expect an EXOM or BB/LIB/SF which the guys played & recorded from 1968 -1972. These were exceptional albums & are unlikely ever to be reproduced. Tatoo You was a good album and the progressive Voodoo Lounge has excellent songs all over it but it does'n't sound like the big 4 therefore Stones fans will not admit that it is a great album but in fact actu

The strange thing is that when the Stones visit the B stage they still play & sound like the great guitar based band that they are. When they play on the B stage there is no hiding place and both Ronnie & Keith have to perform seriously which they both do. I am looking for next years concerts to be based upon Arena/Club gigs which would ensure that Keith & Ronnie perform to the bes

Ask them why is it that a bunch of old @#$%&--- still attract millions of fans to their concerts. The answer to this is obvious in that the Stones are generation proof but for young people to admit that they like the Rolling Stones is an ongoing problem with younger generation versus older generation. I have attended Stones concerts for over 40 years and as each decade has finished i th

It's a wonder that the Stones have survived without Mick Taylor. Great guitar player he was & is yet the Stones have still survived on record & live performance. Perhaps one is looking in the wrong direction as to why the Stones have been at the top of the tree for last 42 years.

'Explosive guitar work' would be my favourite as long as the title was reflected in the content.

Starsailor at Twickenham 24/8/04 who played their own instruments & own songs & did their own thing. Black Crowes were a major dis-appointment but most acts including Bon Jovi have found that playing before the Stones is a nerve wracking experience not to be repeated.

We seem to have this continual debate & responces that - Mick Taylor was better than Ronnie Wood or vice versa when they played with the Rolling Stones. Both MT & RW are entirely different guitarists and have been good value to the Stones in many ways. Each has a different style & approach yet they both fitted in giving the Stones a different sound and some excellent guitar sol

All indications are rehearsals June/July.05 in Toronto with Arena/Club gigs starting USA in September. This will be followed by a far east tour in February.06 then back to Europe for Stadium/Arena/Club gigs starting May.06. All of this is based upon conversations that people have had with Bernard Fowler & Blondie Chaplin 17/12/04 who stated that they will be rehearsing in Toronto June/

It has become the norm to critise & slag off the Stones (including you Mathijs) which is absolotely pathetic. I have listened & been to Stones concerts since 1964 and i am always prepared to critise when necessary. There is so much drivel from so called experts ( guitar players included) about the Stones don't sound or play like they did in the 70's When th
