QuoteMrThompsonWooft I think it would be great if a space ship landed in the middle of a stadium. The door opens and a ramp comes down. A figure at the top of the ramp beckons them. They slowly walk up the ramp. The ramp closes and the space ship departs. The figure on the top of the ramp is no one else than - BRIAN!!!

What a day! Now it´s 13:00 p.m.. At 14:00 p.m. I´ll leave my home near Cologne, will pick up a friend and drive to Düsseldorf... I NEVER expected to see the Stones ever again. I became a fan around 1982, I loved the old stuff and the “new“ stuff. Listened to Tatooo You and “Rolled Gold“ every day. But I missed their show in 1982. 1990 they came back again to Cologne and I was there!

This morning, I heard the new single "Alphatier" from Marius-Müller Westernhagen (famous German singer, now in his mid-sixties). The song made me smile - did Marius have "Might As Well Get Juiced" in mind, when he wrote it? Priest

June 20th, 1995, Cologne, Mungersdorfer Stadion: The lights went down; Charlie started drumming... From the right side Mick J. entered the stage, dancing and prancing. Right from that moment, 70.000 people were connected in a giant electric field. When he reached his mike and bowed down, the crowd went nuts. "I'm gonna tell you how it's gonna be You're gonna give

Now it´s 08:55 p.m., here - near Cologne. This morning I woke up in a bad mood. Worried about my job situation; worried about my girl friend; worried about my life. Then I switched the radio on. The first thing I heard: "BUT IT`S AAAAALL RIIIIGHT...... " The Stones saved my day. Priest

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteVirgin Priest I never used the term "Vegas Era." From 1989 onwards I call it "The Never Ending Steel Wheels Tour". Priest That's just as narrow-minded Wonder if the fans at the club shows in 2002, at the arenas in 1999 or at the O2 in 2012 felt that they were at a SW show... Powderman, please don´t take my words too seriously!

June, 24th, 1998. Rheinstadion Düsseldorf, Germany. I was there. It was a a hell of a concert. My personal peak of the Vegas-Stones... Between two songs, Mick spat out anything right in front of Ronnie. Very strange... Priest

What does make a song "great"? Top position in the charts? No!! These times are gone. Mick´s singing, the melody, classic guitar sound? No! A GREAT song creates a certain ATMOSPHERE, a VIBE, makes me feel like sitting in a cinema, creates images in my mind. My last great Stones son is LAUGH, I NEARLY DIED Priest

There are a few more pics with Charlie holding a guitar. For example the 1968-line-up. Mick, Keith Brian nd Bill standing; Charlie in front of them on a chair, a guitar on his knees. During the Steel-Wheels-Tour, on many occasions when the 5-piece-band entered the stage for the final bow, Charlie had a guitar in his hand. Why did he do so? Priest

I don´t know how to place a video here, but of course you know (and love) the official live video from 1978. During Ronnie´s solo, around 3.05, Keith starts to play a short, repeated riff. This is one of the coolest things, he has ever done live on stage. Simple, but 100 % effective!! Priest
