Check out the picture of the brunette with the blue shirt and red shorts and the dangling white pocketbook outside the bar standing on the left...You see Mick and Keith inside. She is wearing Nike sneakers in 1981? Is she the first trend setter for Nike? Back then Adidas was king! When did Nike start? PECMAN

Growing up in the 80's... My friend Domenic was a huge Ozzy fan... He only listened to Ozzy 22 hours a day and Black Sabbath and Night Ranger the other 2 hours. But when Primitive Cool came out... He LOVED "Let's Work"...so much that he actually bought Primitive Cool and listened to "Let's Work" constantly. I said to him...I don't get it...you l

Why is this such a shocking thing? We are all Stones who follow the bands every move. Mick Jagger invented the term "tax evasion"...and rightfully so. As Charlie Watts pointed out...Mick is never in the same city more than 2 weeks and is never in the same country more than 4 months a year so to avoid paying taxes and never qualifying as a sitting citizen of any country. After reading all these posts...it seems that B & B is the best engineered album and the best engineered/overall album is a tie between Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers. I would have to agree that Tattoo You is the runner up. Don't forget "Undercover"...it is very creative...but it sounds like a bunch of guys who got new toys and are excited to use them...but can't q

BTW. Wasn't IORR recorded/engineered by Giorgio Moroder of the Disco Fame? Now...was Jagger on to his talent a head of time or was it that Giorgio Moroder working with the Stones gave him a name and an avenue for success? One thing I've noticed over the years...there are very little photo's that exist of the IORR sessions. I'm sure Rockman can pull a few but very

I just listened to Emotional Rescue again...it is painfully thin...no bottom...sounds like a transistor A.M. radio. Worse than Dirty Work. The absolute worst. Not the worst album song wise...but the worst Stones engineered album. "All About You" is a treasure! Pecman

If Black and Blue included "Slave" and "Worried About You"...man...the ranking of that album would be a totally different story in the Stones world. For the Stones to play an unreleased "Worried About You" at El Mocambo in 1977 clearly says they made a mistake not including it on Black and Blue. It probably would have been too much for a vinyl LP at the time...

Some Girls...worst sounding...really? There best selling album ever? Maybe all their albums should have sounded as bad as Some Girls. GHS and IORR have a lot to be desired. But Emotional Rescue sounds like someone smacking their hand against a piece of loose leaf paper for the snare sound...it is terribly thin...no bass...no bottom...no warmth...nothing...they managed to get "Emo

If you read some old quotes from Mick regarding the 1978 tour...he said he didn't realize what he did to the New York market until after the tour was finished...realizing...he only put approximately 6,000 tickets on sale for the whole tri-state area. (Passaic and NYC). The crazy thing is almost the whole Some Girls album and lots of the extra cuts referenced NYC. Pecman

What do you think the best Sounding and Worst sounding Stones studio album is? I would say "Black And Blue" is the best. I would say "Emotional Rescue is the worst. (Besides Dirty Work). To this day..."Black and Blue" no matter how loud you crank it or low volume device you listen to it...always sounds full, no distorted and the perfect balance of lows, highs, tr

I don't understand Jagger's very under-coverage of the 1978 tour. They were on fire and had something to prove...they had a #1 album and a #1 single with Miss You in the height of the disco era and the playing was off the charts. Blows away the 1975 tour...Because they played almost all the Some Girls album...I feel Ronnie Wood was truly connected to the tour and kicked ass! I have

Mandu, I agree..."Worried About You" is one of the best followed by "Tops" and "Almost Hear You Sigh"... But We Can't disagree with the Global Response to "Start Me Up" which makes it the best Stones song since 1980. Pecman

Keefriffhard4life, I agree...Paul Stanley was a fluke with IWMFLY...just like when he tried to write a Rod Stewart song and totally nailed "Hard Luck Woman". Not so sure Rod Stewart's DYTIAS wasn't crafted for the market? Nevertheless, Rod Stewart had a huge hit with it..and so be it. Pecman

Hey, They all took the disco turn or at least the 4 on the floor beat: Rolling Stones - Miss You Rod Stewart - Do Ya Think I'm Sexy The Kinks - Superman Pink Floyd (Yuk!) - Another Brick In The Wall Queen - Another One Bites The Dust Kiss - I Was Made For Loving You etc. Two exceptions: Led Zeppelin and The Who. The questions is: were they sticking to their M.O. or where t

According to Charlie Watts... the 4 greatest singer/entertainers are Mick Jagger, Elvis Presley, James Brown and Michael Jackson. Pick any one of them and you could probably have a case as to why each of them are #1. Pecman
