I saw Aretha in Oakland this last week (she hadn't played in Northern California for 40 years).I was stunned how great she sounded. And, she sang for at least 90 minutes. What a legend!

The second show set list had 6 songs changed. New, old and rarities. And, the second show was better than the first. Great job in the set list changes. Reminds me of the Stones set list changes during The 40 Licks tour. It is a great time in music when you can go see U2 and The Stones during the same week or month.

I was at the show. Great first set. Second was good. Just like The Stones, I would like to see more special and rare songs. But, their new songs came across well. The screen in the middle is very special.Great sound where I was at. Bono's voice was in top form. A very good start to their big tour. Hope they change up the set list a lot tonight. Bono said they would be two different sho

I have a feeling that they are selling so many 'platinum' tix, many tix are being shifted towards those. People paying astronomical prices for mediocre tix is outrageous.

Forgot all their names. Guitarist. Mainly accoustic, but some electric. He had long dread locks that would go in front of his face. Tall and really thin. Lisa said he did the musical arrangements. Bass- really good. Did a lot of stand up bass. Him and the guitarist interacted quite a bit. Drummer. Good. Should have remembered their names. She mentioned them several times.

Saw her last night in Santa Cruz, California at the Rio Theater. She was great! Her voice is such a beautiful instrument. Did a mix of other people's music, then a few Stones songs at the end. The arrangements were different and beautiful. JJF, IORR and a long Miss You. Encores with Gimme Shelter. Again, very different than the stones arrangements. She really exuded warmth and love throug

How pathetic! Jerry was the Grateful Dead. The concerts were as good as Jerry played/felt. And, I saw them over 150 times (going to college near San Francisco from 1977 to 1981 really helped). Some of the Jerry Garcia Band shows were better than most of the Grateful Dead shows. I have no problem with the rest of the band playing shows- but don't call it The Grateful Dead. It is just like

Saw Tom Petty and the heartbreakers last night. They played 'I'm not your Stepping Stone' in a tribute. And boy, did Tom and the boys play it well also.

Neil Young can rock with acoustic. His Bridge School Benefits are almost entirely accoustic; The Who, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers are just a few examples from there. Neil doing Cortez The Killer with Pearl Jam was amazing a few years back.

The Stones started on fire in 1999 at the Oakland Arena show. That was the start of that leg of the tour. It must have been fun playing arenas instead of stadiums all the time. Moonlight Mile and Shine a Light put in the line-up. It was the first time I saw them in an enclosed arena. Very special.

Going to go see him in San Jose, California on October 5. Mainly decided to go see him due to Winwood opening. Though, I do like Petty. Saw Winwood in Oakland at the Fox Theater in June. He played a lot of a Traffic material. Great show!

Saw her once at South Lake Tahoe. She headlined a show with Father Guido Sarducci and another good comedian. She was amazing. Hilarious! She sure brought a lot of laughter to the world. What a great thing. Thank you Joan Rivers.

I have not heard anything that justifies the Homophobia label. I do think Keith may say things that are not 'politically correct'. And, he probably enjoys the hullabaloo that comes from it. Remember the snorting his dad's ashes. I like the 'screw them if they can't take a joke' attitude. The great thing about Keith is his honesty. If you are saying anything tha

I would imagine this is also devastating for all of Mick's family and friends too. They were close to her also. What a tragic thing. My heart goes out to all of her friends and family. So sad!

It is funny that they look like they know what they're doing. But, they are fouling on every picture. Over the line. I was raised in a bowling alley.

Saw them in London during the same time Ronnie Wood and Mick Taylor were playing there in late June 2012. At a small old hall that was recently renovated (beautiful hall!). Boy, did they put on an awesome show. Crowd was really into it! Seen them many times throughout their career. They still put on a jamming show. A band that gets everybody on their feet and dancing.

U2 are my second favorite band ( behind the Stones!). I like the lyrics of their new songs, but boring computerized music behind Bono's voice. BUT, them playing on 'Top of the a Rock' at sunset was amazing. What a view (over 80 stories high I believe). Good camera pans of Manhattan's skyline and the park. One of the greatest places to play! Too bad the music did not meet th

Mick told a joke on a Thanksgiving Day in Denver in 2005. It kind of went like this: just think, if the pilgrims ate cats at the first Thanksgiving instead of turkey, we would all be eating pussy today!

Sat next to him in Copenhagen airport in 2007. We talked for over an hour. Really nice, easy going guy. Asked him a bunch of questions about Keith and he only had wonderful things to say. When waiting for our luggage in Atlanta, he came over and talked a bit more. He was going home to Louisiana or Arkansas. He gave me one of his flaming guitar picks with his name. What a guy!

I saw every Grateful Dead New Years Eve show from 1976/77 Cow Palace (Daily City- near S.F.) to the last one- I think was 91/92 (with Bruce Hornsby and Branford Marsailes (sp?)). I enjoyed the closing show, but not my favorite. All the shows in 1977 at Winterland was magical! The shows in the 'Grateful Dead Movie' from shows at Winterland in October 1974 were All very long shows. They l

How to Become Clairvoyant album by Robbie has Clapton on many songs, Steve Winwood, Trent Reznor, Pino Palladino and Robert Randolph. That is quite a line up for an album. Clapton wrote some of the songs with Robbie. The album got to #13 on the billboard chart. I would say that is quite a successful solo album.

Didn't Robbie write Brocken Arrow in the late 80's. I love that song. How to Become Clairvoyant is a solid album. I saw the Band many times and what always stands out in my mind is how intense of a guitar player he was. Just bleeding with every note. They could roll in many ways. I saw the Band play after Robbie at The Saddle Rack in San Jose- a shell of the former group. The persona
