Saw her once at South Lake Tahoe. She headlined a show with Father Guido Sarducci and another good comedian. She was amazing. Hilarious!

She sure brought a lot of laughter to the world. What a great thing. Thank you Joan Rivers.

One procedure to much in the end, I guess. She had wits though. Undeniably so. No one can take that away from her.

Really loved her. A true pioneer in comedy and funny till the very end. May she rest in peace.

She was a pioneer, doing stand up comedy at a time when there were very few women on the scene. Sad news. May her memory be a blessing to her family.

she saw the humour in EVERYTHING. And she was criticized at times for it, but she poked fun at herself too, so to me that makes it alright. The joke I always remember was "never date a man who splashes in the toilet. If he can miss a hole that big....."

She was a very funny lady. RIP. Joan Rivers shared the bill with the Stones on the Sept 1, 1966 ep. of the Ed Sullivan Show.

She always made me laugh, even when I cringed a little. She also was a Stones fan.

"I've learned what's funny verbally ain't so funny on e-mail: They don't hear your intonations. Melissa broke up with somebody over that. She tried to tell him: 'That was a joke!' But he just didn't get it. Mick Jagger said, 'F––– 'em if they don't get the joke.' And I love him. That comes with age: Knowing it's their problem, not mine."

1) I like colonic irrigation because sometimes you find old jewellery.

2) My love life is like a piece of Swiss cheese. Most of it's missing, and what's there stinks.

3) All babies look like Renée Zellweger pushed against a glass window.

4) I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw that my bath toys were a toaster and a radio.

5) I said to my mother-in-law, “My house is your house.” She said, “Get the hell off my property.”

6) Madonna is so hairy. When she lifted her arm, I thought it was Tina Turner in her armpit.

7) I said to my husband, “my boobs have gone, my stomach's gone, say something nice about my legs”. He said, “Blue goes with everything.”

8) I blame my mother for my poor sex life. All she told me was, “The man goes on top and the woman underneath.” For three years, my husband and I slept in bunk beds.

9) Mick Jagger could French-kiss a moose. He has child-bearing lips.

10) Elizabeth Taylor was so fat that whenever she went to London in a red dress, 30 passengers would try to board her.

11) My daughter and I are very close. We speak every single day and I call her every day and I say the same thing, "Pick up, I know you’re there." And she says the same thing back, "How’d you get this new number?

12) I bought a pedigree dog for $300. My friend said, "Give me $300. and I'll shit on your carpet."

13) I wish I had a twin, so I could know what I'd look like without plastic surgery.

14) Joan Collins lies about her age so much we should have her body carbon-dated.

15) When I saw her sex tape, all I could think of were Paris Hilton's poor parents. The shame, the shame of the Hilton family. To have your daughter do a porno film... in a Marriott hotel.

16) My best birth control now is just to leave the lights on.

17) Don't cook. Don't clean. No man will ever make love to a woman because she waxed the?inoleum. "My God, the floor's immaculate! Lie down, you hot bitch."

18) You want to get Cindy Crawford confused? Ask her to spell 'mom' backwards.

19) Style is like herpes: You either have it or you don’t.

20) I once dated a guy so dumb he could not count to 21 unless he was naked

Normally, there's a waiting period before you can joke about someone who has just died. But in Joan Rivers' case, it's not too soon. This is what she'd want. In her honor:

Madame Trussaud's Wax Museum called. And in Joan's case they think they can use the real thing.

I like the joke but not how it's worded.

How about something like this...

"Madame Tussaude's Wax Museum announced that in the aftermath of the death of Joan Rivers they will be honouring her with an exhibit. Contrary to normal protocol they've indicated they will just use her remains as it approximates 75% of the statue anyway."

OK, I was rushed...could use some further massaging.

RIP JR.

In the same spirit--I loved the tweet that said "She died doing what she loved. Having surgery."

She was a classy and very honest lady, RIP Joan.

Yes, that was a better one, Aqua. More straight to the point. And after all, she was called "Queen of Mean"...
