Its a non-reverse Firebird, much rarer than the normal reverse Firebird. This appears to be a mid to late 60s model. The interesting version(s) are the studio ones. When played live it sounds like Keith never heard the studio version - ever. I can't understand why they can't play the intro like the studio version.

Anyone aware of any out-takes of Moonlight Mile or Winter available? I know on the movie Crossfire Hurricane there was a snippet of a different version of Moonlight Mile... Thanks.

I was on Rocks Off forum and saw that JC had died (October 18, 2022)... I didn't see anything here so I thought I would mention it. JC was a great guy and went above and beyond for the fans... One of the great evenings of my life was being invited to watch a Stones rehearsal in Toronto (August 2002), all thanks to JC RIP sir. Paul Jim Callaghan

Ron Wood fanboys discussing MT noodling...isn't that hilarious. I love Ron Wood, esp his Faces and Rod Stewart work...but he ain't no MT. His playing with the Stones is the definition of noodling.

First of all, I appreciate people trying to document the guitars of the Stones. However... I watched 5 -10 minutes..while he was talking about the Get Your Ya Ya's Out era. He stated that the album cover photograph with Charlie has the '59 Les Paul that Mick Taylor bought from Keith (in '68 and the other guitar was supposedly the Dan Armstrong prototype. 1/ the '59 Les P

In Ottawa during the 2005 tour, during the intro to Sympathy, Charlie had some heart palpitations...he stood up and left the stage for a few minutes...the percussion continued and Charlie returned...and the song continued.

They have a prerecorded percussion track...why? because it would sound pretty thin if they didn't have the percussion.

Nicky didn't play on YCAGWYW, he was out of town....it was Al Kooper on piano, organ, and french horn.

I assume that the creator of these isolated tracks is using a piece of software called Acoustica. It allows you to create stems from the final mixed tracks. It does a pretty good job but there are lots of acoustic artifacts...and of course your can't completely extract various instruments. The keyboard parts in most Stones songs are so buried that it's almost impossible to extract any p

I have listened to the vocal track from the Exhibitionism tour...there is a double tracked lead vocal and the lyrics are sometimes different between the two vocals so that probably causes some confusion...I don't have my copy of the SMU vocal track handy but its pretty clear that there are two sets of vocals and some different lyrics

Went to my first Rolling Stones concert in Oshawa. John Belushi was the MC, the New Barbarians opened the show and the Stones played the second set. My friend and I were lucky to buy tickets to the afternoon and evening shows. We scalped the evening ones to pay for the trip and ticket to the afternoon show. It was held in a hockey arena (ice hockey for the Brits) and our seats were 8th row on the

On the 28th of August 2005, in Ottawa, Charlie walked away from the kit during the intro to SFTD...the drum loop continued....he reappeared after a few minutes. He was not feeling well for a few minutes and was concerned it was serious....fortunately it was not serious.

Hello fellow stones fans... I have posted all the tracks that I have. I apologize for the poor audio quality and the missing tracks. Not a very good job, but when you pay peanuts...you get monkeys. Some people enquired about the Undercover track. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the file I have. Cheers P

I think my taping buddy got bored or sore legs standing around for about 1 hour, hence the shorter and missing tracks. Cheers... Interestingly, the Japan book has all the songs except Love in Vain... LIV is available on the ALFRED/ABKCO book, but it doesn't have any of the Chuck Berry songs. BTW....the Alfred version of LIV doesn't have the second Mick Taylor solo transcribed...I wrote to Alfred, found an employee who actually listened to what I said and he emailed me the whole song with the second solo inc
