Yes, Jan it's exactly so. Let's not forget that both records were treated like they were a sort of de-luxe edition with special prefix for catalog numbers, fold-open covers and additional bonus like the stapled booklet and the 4D cover, not talk about the inner sleeve of TSMR that might be a very first in DECCA's world. On top of that, they used pure vinyl. This does not mean th

Their work is based on something Collectors do know well: big differences between vinyl and vinyl, in terms of sound quality. Wash all you records, keep them clean from dust and listen to them and you'll notice a lot of difference. The best example that comes to mind are the US London albums. Allied pressings, do not sound like pressing by Monarch and they both do not sound like those by Co

According to his biography, he actually played on Between The Buttons. Nearly two pages are dedicated to this session, in November 1966. Apart from this, it's a very good book. Bye, Luca PS the book also gives his complete discography

Speaking for myself, the show must not go on. Release the last album with Charlie on druns - no overdubs/ guests - and that’s it. After all, they are THE ROLLING STONES, not the Queen...

It’s been said mano times that each hologram cost $1. I thank it’s say too much, if an album was sole at about $3, at the time. The Vari Vue is not made in Japan, but one of the very companies that had it was in Japan. Bye, Luca

With BW living in Saint Paul de Vence and Shooting Chagall, with MJ having been very close to Andy Warhol and close friend of David Bowie my answer is YES. On top of that, I can’t see CW and KR having cheap replicas hanging on the walls of their mansions. And so, YES again. What I’d find of great interest would be to know what Artist(s) they do collect...

First of all, my best wishes to mr. Watts for the best of recoveries! That said, today 5 august 2021, it's the end, if he does not come back. Mick Jagger & His Rolling Stones? No, thanks... Luca

In my opinion, this re-wamp could depend on the RSD re-issue, on 17 July. True that they are not too many copies, but could be enough to move the charts and let some buy the 2CD edition, too. That said, I always preferred 'Rolled Gold' to 'Hot Rocks': no Brown Sugar, no Wild Horses but still the best ever compilation for the DECCA/London years. Bye, Luca

I always wondered how many copies did those many, many German, Dutch and Japanese compilations released in the 80s sell. Were they somehow increasing the general sales of the Rolling Stones or did they cause a decrease of the sales of 'Rolled Gold' rather than 'Hot Rocks'? They're not rare nowadays, and this lets me guess that did sell rather well... Are there statistics

I'm trying to archive the series properly and it's much harder than one could guess. I have circa 30 albums - including variants - and still I miss a couple of major variants. Is anybody here well deep in this (French editions, not Belgian)? I'd be very glad to share my illustrated file and see what happens. Please, email me privately. Bye, Luca

I’m not a great fan of football, but I’m very glad we’ve won. Italy is really suffering the pandemic and we can’t still see the end of it. I like to believe this victory can be the cornerstone of a much needed rebirth. That said a big hug to English supporters, Luca

Download from Apple Music sounds good and guitars are rather up-front, only it seems a little bit speeded up. According to Apple Music the show lenght is 1:54, but I'm not able to compare it to another source. Not that bad, in all, bye Luca

Mayo is not that wrong, actually. It's pretty boring, now. They're giving us the same show for the 4th (?) time or something like that. Why not to release the best of each tour? Or a selection of rarely issued songs that they performed once or twice? Why not to care to satisfy the Collectors and the avarage fan? Just black vinyl. Stop. UMG is using RSD to launch their latest output o
