I just find it interesting that those who blame the media are more likely to be Covid deniers and/or anti vaxxers. Why is that?

No one is denying the importance of vaccines and flu jabs, I haven't seen much of that, it's just that some people don't believe in making them mandatory, it's nice to have freedom of choice,( especially as the vaccine might not work for long and might not stop the spread of the virus) but obviously some people believe that if we don't take the vaccine it will make life difficult if governments insist you can't travel etc if you haven't had the vaccine.
Also some of us are suspicious enough to think that governments are using covid to contain peoples movement and track down an individuals whereabouts and put them under house arrest if they see fit.
It was noticeably telling last week when out of 2500 lorry drivers tested at the ferry in Dover, only 3 tested positive for covid, none of which had any symptoms, this makes some people suspicious about Boris Johnson's scientific facts on just how contagious this extremely contagious new deadly virus is.

Around 35 lorry drivers reportedly tested positive in Dover, but they claim anyway not to be very exposed to the virus because they are mostly lone drivers who spend the majority of their time inside their lorries and have little close contact with anyone during their trips.

Sorry but I think it's ridiculous to lock down countries and cause millions to lose jobs and businesses when all that was needed was to protect the old and the sick from the virus, the cure to this virus is causing more harm than the virus.
And the powers that be will not let this go away, this is too good an opportunity to implement control over us.
MisterDDDD I hope for all our sakes I'm batshit crazy because this year is George Orwells 1984 on steroids.

There have been many younger people, and even children, who have died due to covid.
What percentage of people outside the high risk groups who have contracted Covid-19 have suffered serious sickness or even death?

My friend in her 70s, currently on a Covid ward after collapsing at home, would no doubt count as one of your "old and sick". How would you have protected her from the son and daughter she lives with, both of whom still need to go out to work and earn their living? All three currently have the virus: one symptom free, one ill, one very ill.

The son and daughter are to blame. If they really needed to work, they should have stayed in a hotel.

You and those who think similarly would very much like to believe it's only the old and sick who need to be protected. in reality, you know this is not true. There have been many younger people, and even children, who have died due to covid. Lots of people cite the low percentage of those impacted. It amazes me that they seem blind to the fact that there are PEOPLE behind the percentages. Sadly, it may take knowing someone personally who is stricken. Amazingly, in the States a nurse claimed that several people literally dying from covid while in the hospital still deny its existence. Great job of mind control by those in power here.

The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe pandemic in recent history. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin. Although there is not universal consensus regarding where the virus originated, it spread worldwide during 1918-1919. In the United States, it was first identified in military personnel in spring 1918. It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States.

notice how it all but disappeared in the summer, in Britain it was down to a few deaths each day, this when lockdowns were lifted and places were packed with holiday makers from the cities.
Quote

According to the government figures in Britain only 6% of covid deaths have been a direct result of covid.
I'm feeling worried that so many of you still believe this scam, it's just politics now, why else with all the statistics available to you would you still welcome lockdowns.
I'm out of here, have a great life.

Wow, and who pays for that hotel? Hotels by me are only available to essential workers in town visiting /quarantining.

As an American, who is frightened to death of what is going on in this country, the only shame I have concerns the ignorance being shown by some of my fellow citizens.
