oh well, just saw that the title of this thread is The Rolling Stones 2018 tour rumours. In that context, I guess it is OK, but I don't like to be disappointed.

I still think we're a few weeks away from a anouncment,
I thought it was strange to announce a single show.
Anyhow not to worry, I flip over to news on how the new studio album is doing, it's bound to be good news.
... I've just looked .... oh ..hello anyone there

Actually, the forum over at boards.ie is titled "Gigs & Events".

You can see the Croke Park thread - mostly speculation, of course, here:

The first post on that thread was only made on Thursday, and the poster said they "got a message from the Croke Park Community to say that Aiken Promotions will be applying for a licence to hold a concert in Croke Park on Thursday 17th May".

Nobody likes to be disappointed, I guess, but you needed to connect some dots here. There's no way a concert is announced on Monday the 5th if on Thursday the 1st the promoter "will be applying for a licence". The application and today's presser never had anything to do with each other.

No reason to throw anybody under a bus for posting these things here. The fact remains Aiken have applied for an additional concert. Whether they get the green light and Which band it is, we'll see...=)

Okay, so what I’m hearing:

Whatever license that HOPEFULLY the RS are/ might be applying for,
better get a mandatory VIP kid glove immediate approval no matter what
It goes on top of the stack ahead of everyone else bump off whomever whatever
Signed off Yes Sir Mr. Jagger whatever fvucking days and nights you need.

Andddd, maybe that’s already done and why start all the racket until necessary?

As y’all can see, I know nothing either.

So Taylor Swift prices for her Croke Park shows are the following
€74.50- Upper Hogan, Cusack and Davin Stands
€104- Upper Hogan,Cusack, Davin Stands and Pitch standing
€114- Upper/Lower Hogan,Cusack,Davin Stand
€144- Pit, Lower Hogan,Cusack stand

Michael Bubles (all seated) prices are
€89.50- Upper Hogan,Cusack and Davin stands
€109.50/€129.50- Upper/Lower Hogan, Cusack, Davin Stands and Pitch seating

remember i paid €201.75 for a u2 ticket (Lower Hogan) last year and €137.10 a year before for Bruce Springsteen (lower cusack)

feck knows whats the prices for the stones will be if (big if) a Croke Park happens

well, compared to the prices mentioned above, the Stones were realtively cheap (at least outside Germany)

I remember a Eventim "Ticket Alarm" for Germany years ago, happening at a time where no European Tour was planned at all. Of course this was nonsense. Maybe the Eventim managers just read in the newspaper about the Warsaw rumour.

In recent years eventim ticket alarm in Germany was – at least with other artists – was a quite reliable indicator…

German Eventim also has a Ticket Alarm page up for the Stones. Not sure if it's been there all the time since last year.

However as pointed out above (and years past) that page alone doesn't necessarily mean a thing.

[iorr.org]

Hell, there's one for Pink Floyd! [www.eventim.de] floyd

the difference is that the polish eventim site has the Stones ticket alarm on their front page (that's the indicator!)

You're right, slewan, that bodes well for Poland. Matter of fact, I've never been there, hmm...winking smiley

Right, on the german site as posted above one can register to a ticketalarm (by searching for a band name) , and subsecuently be informed about an upcoming tour of just about any music act, so Unfortunately I would'nt hold my breath for Pink floyd. On the polish site however it was on front page, put there by eventim. pl....it just might be a real hint! I recently found it to be very fullfilling in the case of Bob Dylan, both eventim. de and ticketone.it

It depends where it is. If it’s at the Narodowy in Warsaw, I won’t be there. My Warsaw friend doesn’t have one good word to say about the place for sound. The Slaski Stadium in Chorzow has just re-opened after renovation. The Excellent BtB Show in 1998 was held there. If it’s there, I’ll definitely go. It’s a similar size ro the Narodowy.

Noticed this too that the possible Twickenham No. 2 and Poland are on the same dates. What are we gonna do since they can't be in two places at once?

Clone the Stones?
