Rocky, is there a source/link for that info?

The odd bit is the article says the single fulfills Mick's contract with Atlantic Records and was contractually obligated to release the tracks before releasing the Stones album next year. The odd bit is that the single is from Universal via Polydor or Interscope depending on the market. Maybe that's the only error and it meant to say Universal. Not certain about the solo album part. Just doing my best to understand the article.

See what you mean. Looks pretty dicey in Google Translate.

The only part of the article which mentions a solo album is this:

"Una bailarina llamada Shri B, de origen hindú, , ha publicado en las redes sociales una foto y su participación en el video, nuevo video que es fantástico también. Parece que Mick Jagger no ha grabado todavía un álbum entero , en solitario, pero está en ellos."

Translated:

"A dancer called Shri B posted on the social networks a photo and her participation on a new video, which is also fantastic. It looks like Mick Jagger hasn't recorded yet a new full solo album, but he's on it (the videos)".

It's kind of funny but it seems no one on this board knows anything about this. Album or just a single? Didn't another current hit maker post some tweet or maybe it was mick within the past year?

As usual, unless some user has inside infos that he or she can share with us, we can only speculate what's happening by what we found over the internet. I wouldn't bet on an album, but who knows?

By the way, there's a cover art for the upcoming Mick's single, although it might not be the definitive artwork (with many thanks to UrbanSteel for locating the link):

[thatsentertainment.nl]

If this is the real "artwork" and not some e-store mockup "art" to fill in the product page we can say that a new lowest point in music "artwork" has been reached

What's so bad about it?

Cuz it has no sense of design, has rotten fonts, and reeks of clip-art?

Part of the 'ouch' comment was wondering if we'll ever even get The Supposed Album!!!
Jagger and Skepta may have a hit on their hands, and if this is the case, England's Newest Wall Hitters may have to take a back seat! sad smiley smiling smiley

Well let's see if this is accurate or not. There's nothing about Skepta in the article as they claim Dave Stewart is his collaborator. They also list Atlantic Records and not Universal/Polydor/Interscope. This article could, unfortunately, be guess-work.

My Spanish isn't the greatest, but I thought it was saying the solo album isn't finished but the two new tracks will appear on it. Maybe corriecas or another native speaker can confirm?

There is NO WAY that is real artwork for the album.

Look at that @#$%& FONT! It's basically MS Paint Arial. Gimme a goddamn break.

I think that's the case.

And the article doesn't say the album isn't finished. It only says that the author don't know if there's a full solo album on the works.

That's ridiculous. His BEST OF album could be seen as the last Atlantic release, seeing that it's a best of.

Odd indeed.

Not very different to Keef's CH-cover pic, really.

Not wild about that Jagger cover pic at all. He kinda didn't give us any time for the transition. We went from the Gorilla coat to middle managment trainee.

Someone earlier on this thread reassured promptly that is was labelled as "not the final" on the dutch eshop itself. Which means my assumption was correct: a mock-up to fill the product page.

I think when you pick the tone of a jacket to match the MS Arial font of the main title, you have pretty much hit the bottom of the digital "artwork" art.
