Old info of this thread pre tour announcement on May 9:

The Rolling Stones are rumoured to be touring Europe during the fall of 2017. The European Tour is expected to start mid September and run through October and parts of November. One of the first shows of the tour might be at the Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany.

The European Tour 2017 was originally planned for the summer of 2017, but logistics and changes delayed the tour into the fall. The tour will probably be a combinations of stadiums in the warmer south of Europe, while they will be performing indoor venues as it is getting colder in the northern parts of Europe during the fall.

Munich press report just in today:

Münchner Merkur:

Konzert-Kracher: Die Rolling Stones kommen nach München!

The report says at least two more shows in Germany. Then add already rumoured Paris, and a few more shows in a tour thar will run from mid September into parts of November.

Sure the Olympiastadion is 60,000 capacity. Thanks for telling about my typo. It is fixed.

Please note that hotels in Munich are filling up on those dates, and prices are going up as we speak.

With a tour of two months and two shows per week max there will be quite a few shows actually, since Germany is getting at least three shows. There are few leaks from the new booking processes so far but I would estimate may be 10-15 shows.

Also, for what it's worth, I have a colleague who's a Stones fan that had an encounter with one of the Stones' supporting musicians last week. I'd rather not say who, however. Anyway, the musician told my friend that he's been told to block off time for practice in August and early September with an expectation they go on the road from September to November. The musician said he did not know where or when the band would be going. Obviously this doesn't guarantee anything, but in light of BV's comments, maybe this has added relevance. winking smiley

That sounds great. Hope the tour will build up in the next weeks. What I heard somewhere here in the forum was 2-3 times paris and Lanxess arena.

Shortly after the tour start in 2012 an insider told me that they had plans for touring into 2018. Back then I thought well that was weired, but as the years go by I do realize that some info is more accurate than other. You just don't know exactly which one is to be trusted at all times.

B & L sold more then 300.000 copies in the UK in some weeks + London is the hometown so it's almost impossible to skip, maybe the last show will be there in an indoor venue in the first half of November 2017.
We can expect some songs from B & L at least in London!
Would be great with Clapton (or Taylor?).

Aside from the pants-wetting excitement... !!!

...in the interview Charlie gave recently, he spoke of a tour, but was non-commital when asked if it would inclde London. It would seem to be a given, but... confused smiley
