right, they're not Mother Therea. Therefore the import factors are: money, infrastructure, image of the city, enough people living in the area AND willing (and being able) to spend a lot of money.
And no other Rolling Stones shows close by (and no other big concerts around the same time at the same place).
If it's only 3 shows in Germany (and given the fact thht the want to maximize income) and one these shows is Munich, the other two will be neither Stuttgart nor Nuremberg nor…, but Berlin and Ruhrgebiet. That means neither Hannover nor Leipzig nor Hamburg nor Dresden nor… etc… - sorry

I do not see why Munich - Hamburg - Dresden would not make sense if they don't play Prague.

NLD, Arnhem, Gelredome with a retractable roof.
Great venue too. Capacity max (concerts): 41000.

It looks like the Stones-Tour will be an Indoor-Tour in Fall 2017 and Dresden does not have an Indoor Arena with >15,000 capacity.
For instance Munich has Olympiahalle (15,500), Hamburg has Barclaycard Arena (16,000), Cologne Lanxess Arena (20,000), Berlin has Mercedes-Benz Arena (17,000).

I'm pretty sure it won't be Dresden
btw AC/DC played 9 shows in Germany in 2015, the Stones are going to play three shows only. Thus they will only play the big metropolitan areas and the south east corner of Germany is not one of them (sorry)…

That's true, but Dresden has a 80.000 open air venue which can be used in September. (And a nice 10 years old 32.000 stadium.) They won't play 15.000 venues I think, because they had to sell 400 Euro tickets there to get the money they want.

We will see. Remember the half filled stadiums in West Germany 2006/07?

Okey, fellow Scandinavians. Odds for one or more gigs in Scandinavia this time around? What do you think? And in that case - which city?
Stockholm and Oslo.
