I second that BV.
Make this thread only about real updates that you know are relevant.
I dont want to relive the 100+ pages of the last topic

Hey BV, Please close the topic and just allow yourself to make updates. That will keep it relevant and eliminate all the garbage. Thanks!

In case you didn't know, that's what he does HERE.

Probably the only substantial rumour at this point.

Hey guys.

To follow on BV s news and now that this thread is a sticky. i can report from what seems to be going on in Paris.

1. The bid for the U Arena opening shows is there and WILL be confirmed before the end of June.2 shows last week of september/1 st week of october. Still working on the possible dates.

2. 3 shows in Paris is what everyone is talking about here.i can confirm there wont be 3 at the U Arena and no Stade de France.
Where else?i dont see a Bercy possible..

I will report more when possible
Love to you all

The only open dates at the Olymia theatre are 24-26 september. From U Arena to Bercy doesn't make a lot of scence...The Zenith would be a mind blower.

There's nothing confirmed or denied yet, people really need to stop spreading nonsense rumours, we don't know if they will play again and some people is talking about shows in 2020? eye rolling smiley eye rolling smiley

This is what I read that I speculated on.

Shortly after the tour start in 2012 an insider told me that they had plans for touring into 2018. Back then I thought well that was weired, but as the years go by I do realize that some info is more accurate than other. You just don't know exactly which one is to be trusted at all times.

The three Rolling Stones that appeared last week in London look very healthy, even Ronnie. Why should they finish next year? 75 is the new 55.

This is just out today

Stones in Lucca, maybe this is the time

Strong rumor about a concert in Lucca. Official announcement is expected tomorrow..

Rumoured date September 23rd

Speculations that this countdown on the festival site is about the Stones

Lucca Summer Festival promoters are the same of the Circo Massimo concert in 2014

Source is one of the main newspaper in Italy, local edition of Florence
On the other side I dont trust very much that specific writer though he is very popular in Tuscany
Lucca is in Tuscany, on the seaside

This is so exciting! It has been 10 years since I visited my family in England and have been putting it off this year to coordinate with the Stones tour - I have never seen them in my home town of London - hope they play there before the shitty weather in November, even if it is inside smiling smiley Hope for Spain too!

Hi Sarah
good to hear from u. I think we can plan on seeing each other in London.

You lucky chap. Have visited....wonderful, old walled town. Very strong on culture.
Birthplace of Puccini, I believe....and many others from the Arts.
Perfect venue for the Stones

Wonder if it'll be same stage set-up they've had since 2013

Re: The Rolling Stones European Tour 2017

The same stage set-up to recent years seems likely, although I wish they would do something different. They won't be playing enough shows to make it economically justifiable, but they could surpass the simple 'b-stage' with a secondary stage that moves (like the 'b-stage' did during the A Bigger Bang tour) around the entire audience. Imagine the A Bigger Bang 'b-stage' continually moving around above the audience for the duration of 3 songs.

nobody needs that kind of bullshit. Get them on a stage, let them play their music. No fireworks, special stages etc are needed…

100% agreed. That's what fellow 60s survivors Macca and the Who both do, and their shows are not less complete for it. It's all about the music. If I want to go to a fireworks display, I can do that another time.

Wow, it could very well mean just that. I mean, what else? It seems a bit early, but not too early to sound impossible. Fingers crossed!
