One thing is clear on this LP - Ronnie is carrying the load! Damn good, too.
...wadda bout Keef?
Doing a fine job.
Very nice electric 12 string slide work on Hoodoo Blues and a cool outro solo on All Of Your Love. He sounds like he's having a blast playing these songs

All of Your Love...what a bloody amazing performance!!! Scintillating stuff
Found the album streaming on another site; good god it is beyond any expectations I had.
Long live the Stones, baby

This album... wow. They've been busy doing 'contemporary' music and 'sounding like the Stones' since 1989 - this IS the Stones. Seems like they should've done something like this between albums since 1989!
It's gotta have an impact on the new originals. If they had the same set up when they were cutting originals... it should be a filthy album!

Yes, the "originals" do sound a bit "pale" in comparison. On the other hand I hadn't heard any of these covers before, apart from Commit a Crime with Beck, so it's not a "standard" covers album like the stuff Rod's been releasing.

Fab guys, now go out and tour it.
In small venues.

The main reason why I was blown away was the three first tracks we got. They were really nice, yet pretty one-dimensional.
As it seemed this is a candy bag of lots of different types of blues songs, with an overall vibe. That's not easy to accomplish.
Favourites right now: Hoodoo Blues, I Gotta Go and Little Rain.
Clapton's slide fills on Everybody Knows About My Good Thing is marvellous. Ronnie's solo, too.
My wife forced me to move over to headphones now...
