I hear you, yet I don't hear it
That's what I feared... It disturbs the flow of this brilliant album. I'll record it to reel-to-reel
I don't hear it too ofen these days either.
It's nice to have the vinyl... but the "art" of mastering it needs to be recaptured.
With all the talk about how this album was recorded, I'm keen to hear how it's been mastered... and how it subsequently sounds on a half way decent record playing system.

Deliberately I have avoided to hear anything at all in advance. The experience of listening to a new Stones album is gonna be like not only in the near, but even the distant past.
Then I very much agree, also I would have preferred a single disc. To turn and change discs and that often, will disturb the enjoyment more than what is gained, I believe.

Yeah I had the impression you could hear distortion on just about every instrument, not just the vocals.
But I agree B&L is very good.
It's actually quite simple. It's unique. It is unlike anything else. Perhaps this clears it all up for you?
I wasn't aware of the term "brickwalled", but I listened last night and thought the whole album seemed flat. Now I know why.
Hold strong DP...headphones are for sissies...you can't feel em in yer chest!
ya need 3-5 pairs going... one pair for your ears and moar for other areas.
Where do I get chestphones, at the doctor's office?

I actually enjoyed Atlanta traffic yesterday and this morning, jamming to B&L at loud volume. It really sounds good cranked, what an incredible album!
