Is the download card just mp3 or is it a high definition card?

I still wonder about all the fuss with Stones in mono? That's the way they always been heard up until 1966 when the first stereo album was released. I hope for, but guess it will never happen, a stereo box. If the session tapes are still in good condition it may happen. The bad stereo mixes ( if they are) can be made the way stereo mixes a made today. At least all recordings from Chess and RCA should be possible to mix in stereo.
The songs from Chess were recorded in stereo.

Which Chess songs are in stereo and are they made into mono for this release?

I am really annoyed. I paid £345 from the uDisxover store and now it's £289 on Amazon. I have asked uDiscover to either cancel my order or give me a credit voucher for the difference. Really dodgy and really annoying to see the price drop so much - I should have waited!

With uDiscover you have ordered the 7" bundle with the Vinyl set,
Amazon are not offering this.

One question.
I'm really enjoying the vinyl set. On the external shrink-wrap attached sticker and download card , it states "numbered limited edition"
(I ordered from universal to get the 9 x 7")
I can't see a number anywhere ? anyone else found a number ?

All of the Chess recordings were recorded on 3 or 4 track, then mixed to stereo in 1964/65, but it seems they were all released in mono (the stereo mixed folded in to mono) in 60's.
Yes, as they were when originally released.

Amazing full rich and punchy mono sound but don't throw away your original albums because the look, feel and smell of the mono edition doesn't come even close the original.
There's simply nothing like putting your original open Decca or London record on the turntable.. Just compare the labels..Abkco on the label is simply not right, its all too clean and too new..
Despite this, the sound is amazing, listening to it all day long...smiling smiley

The big difference is that it has SHM-CD's, which the US/UK releases do not have. Correct?

Is the Japanese box, sleeves etc. better quality (material, printing)?

If I buy a Japanese 'In Mono' box, it will come with the extras (promo 7" EP vinyl + 7" file folder x 3pcs )?

Do we have an idea how limited the CD set is?
The packaging on the vinyl box i got in Europe is quite cheap and it even doesn't have the 3d TSMR.Quote

In a few words. Japanese SHM set is better quality in terms of materials. It has better booklets/sleeves and packaging. It is packed in 7" sleeves with extra fixture for CD. It has both English and Japanese booklets. It is about 200 Euros more expensive. Digital content (mastering) is the same.
