Keith With The CRICKETS REDUX : Not Fade Away

The Crickets' 2008 induction into The Musicians Hall Of Fame featured a performance with Keith Richards.

Two separate clips were combined for this video. (I uploaded both of these a while back.) The first section is an excerpt from a Musicians Hall Of Fame video (which unfortunately did not show the entire song), and the rest of the song is from an audience recording of the event.

A nice comparison...

It looks that Keith doesn't remember the chord changes. He should have practiced before stepping on that stage.

Keith could barely play in that recent clip.

I disagree.

The other guitarist (name?) is playing the main rhythm and Keith just plays a "punctual" counterpoint. He's underplaying, though... I suppose.

Schillid you're probably right but Keith isn't "punctual" when playing the counterpoint which creates the impression that he is behind rythmically. Counterpoint is great if one is super precise and tight especially when the beat is a Bo diddley beat .
