It's strange they are including the U.S. version of Aftermath just for Paint It Black.

Strange, no mention as yet on the ABKCO website.
Presumably, no more releases from their 'Clearly Classic' series...I think they were about 50% through the catalogue.
Ludwig and Landi must like their work!

This is a Legit release by Universal Music. CD & Vinyl will both be released in New Zealand. No idea of actual date or price though yet

I bet US Amazon will not beat the price for the CDs. My invoice states they are giving it to me for like 90 pounds. 15 CDs for approx $125 USA is a steal and I grabbed it. I'm sure they already raised the price lol

But if he won it, I don't think he'd be complaining! How are you enjoying your Olympics BTW Cristiano?

This one has a (not very good) picture of the albums...allegedly. 15 CDs for £109.99.

Beware Greeks bearing gifts
If it looks too good to be true then beware that these are boots rehashed and packaged attractively and offered at high price range to justify their alleged authenticity.
There are people out there who are aware that due to lack of new Stones material since 2006 that long time fans can be easily persuaded to part with their hard earned cash for content already bought several times over already.
also be careful as things shown on Amazon etc for sale are not necessarily what they seem plus
the high buying price does not mean that the product for sale is the real thing.

Format: Box set
Label: Commercial Marketing
ASIN: B01H2NU8DQ
Other Editions: Vinyl
One would have thought that ABCKO /Decca would have been publishing this release plus the limited edition stipulation is surely an enticement to buy 14/15 CDs/LPs before they go out of circulation.
Adverts for the Stones mono years do not specify who the promotour or publisher really is and should be viewed with some suspicion in view of the 30/09/16 availability date and the high prices being quoted as can be seen below in GBPs and advertised as follows -
A new product has been announced that will certainly appeal to fans of THE ROLLING STONES. This is a 16 disc vinyl and 15 CD disc box-set simply called THE ROLLING STONES IN MONO. The collection contained newly remastered sound by BOB LUDWIG and TERI LANDI boasting “unprecedented fidelity” and revelatory detail from the original mono sources. The new remaster has been cut to lacquers at the legendary ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS by engineer SEAN MAGEE and pressed onto 180-gram heavyweight vinyl LPs supervised by GZ MEDIA.
rolling stones in mono cd
THE ROLLING STONES IN MONO also features a new compilation called STRAY CATS which is made up of essential non-album B-sides and rarities from the ABKCO era, fully restored in their original mono. Also including is 48 page deluxe booklet that features a new from ROLLING STONE editor DAVID FRICKE with lots of rare photos.
The package is strictly limited in numbers and is being released on September 30th. Separate album release are due to be released in 2017.
Purchase The CD for £96.79 (HERE)
Purchase the Vinyl for £251.49 (HERE)
I would view this release with extreme caution as If this one is released by ABCKO/Universal (??) Then why don't they put out a press release ?
I would not want to buy a product that is more or less a counterfeit product if this is the case.
Before considering buying this product further clarification of whether this is a genuine release is required before parting with loads of money.
for example amazon does sell bootlegs that have fallen out of copyright (in the EU everything pre-1963 and everything post-1962 that was not officially released within 50 years of fixation) and copies of official albums that have fallen out of copyright (again, in the EU everything pre-1963). Those releases are legal.* But the official 1960s albums by The Rolling Stones still have copyright on them and therefore the "Mono" box would be a counterfeit (illegal) product if not released by Universal or affiliated labels. And amazon does not sell counterfeit products. Of course soemtimes things slip through the net.
ABKCO Records is currently distributed by Universal Music Distribution, which also controls distribution of the Rolling Stones' post-ABKCO catalog which clouds this issue even further.
If this is a genuine ABKCO/Universal release then why have neither put out a press release advertising this fantastic offer and event ?

Yes Amazon.com is showing the label as ABKCO with ASIN: B01H2NU8DQ
yet Amazon.co.uk is showing label as Commercial Marketing with ASIN: B01H2NU8DQ.
This discrepency requires to be cleared up as it is clouding the adverts.
However it is possible that this is a semi combination of the US and UK Mono LP's up to Let It Bleed where
ABKCO , Polydor, Universal , Decca And London were all labels involved in the songs containedin the 15 CDs/Vinyls.
As yet no one representing any of these labels has as yet confirmed that there a release taking place 30/09/16.
Would have expected Universal/ABKCO to be publishing this rare and spectacular event and perhaps that will follow shortly.
The lack of information from a trustworthy source and the extremely high selling prices i.e.
Purchase The CD for £96.79 (HERE) Amazon.co.uk
Purchase the Vinyl for £251.49 (HERE) Amazon.co.uk
should make one cautious about committing to this purchase until it becomes abundantly clear that this is a genuine release from ABCKO/Universal.
Until these issues have been cleared up i will not consider placing a pre-order even it it means that i will miss out on this limited edition.
It is entirely up to each individual Stones fan whether they trust the Amazon only pre-order advert and order now or wait a bit longer to see what develops via ABCKO/Universal.
Hopefully this will turn out to be absolutely the genuine article as the overall 15 CD/Vinyl package could be something spectacular for Stones fans looking for high quality mono sound songs from 1963- 1969.
